It does but that's the way to go out. On your shield swinging when it's the BMF title. I like that he has taken time off. I think in 2025 he comes back and has a good chance to KO Islam for the belt.

1 second left. Was already winning. Risked his lead. Did it for the fans. UFC 300 (milestone event) Up a weight class. Beloved fighter already... Not just the KO, but the iconic gesture of pointing to the mat... Iconic image after the victory. Pure fighter spirit. Holloway is the obvious choice.

Nah bro it was an early stoppage by the ref. And you know Hill wasn't sure the fight wasn't stopped after the cup kick. And Pereira cheated by getting a better position after this. So all things considered this was a clear victory for Hill.

Holloway’s knockout literally sent shockwaves throughout the whole mma world. As a Hawaiian I literally jumped outta my bed screaming and woke up my wife and kids … she was annoyed but I didint even give a damn I was that ecstatic.

Bro your missing the the manor in which it was done. Illia's was nothing special. Max was still conscious, just unable to defend intelligently so ref stopped it. Justin was face down out cold with 1 second to go in a fight max had already won every round.... And he says let's go with 10 seconds on the clock. That's the definition of BMF There's no comparison. it was a good ko but nothing iconic about it. context matters, ilias was a sick KO no doubt but max was last second after swangin it out with someone who most people thought would outmatch him for power and retire him. this is no disrespect to ilia, just that maxs ko of justin was genuinely something incredibly special

As much as it breaks my absolute heart, Ilia knocking out Max should absolutely be here. Not just it being the unbreakable Max Holloway, but the way he did it by whiffing a right, but using it to pull Max’s guard down, then swarming, capitalizing, and surviving a flying knee to deliver the finishing blow is impressive. Gosh this hurt to say.

Holloway's one will win because of the events surrounding the KO, mainly the one second remaining, the BMF title and the popularity of both fighters. But Shara's KO is much better for the sheer creativity of the strike. If you take away the external factors, Holloway's KO is just a typical KO and Shara's one was a work of art.
