@@thephilosopher7173To me this reads like a heavingly arrogant and thoughtlessly dismissive way to flex about early stoppage. As in if he is correct, this is not magnanimous, it is merely, truism. Ignoring Yuri having long inactivity is an issue, the injury might still be a problem. Whatever those things are OR ARE NOT, Yuri still could be done.

@Giwr... "Anyone who says early stoppage doesn't understand... what an arrogant comment. Most MMA fighters thought it was an early stoppage, including Rogan and Cormier. Jiri was fully conscious and had purposefully fell backwards on his back to the ground to defend himself, when Goddard stopped it. Early stoppages happen all the time, and this is a great example it. Nothing against Pereira tho.

What an impressive and iconic legacy Alex Pereira has already built. The only fighter ever in UFC history to have won 2 UFC belts in two different weight divisions in only 7 UFC fights?😮 - Alex TKO’d Adesanya who was unbeaten in 12 fights at MW, in his 4th fight in the UFC. - Alex wins the LHW belt by KO and beating the fighter who submitted his Trainer (Glover Texeira) at UFC 275, in his 2nd fight at LHW. In Alex’s last 4 fights he either fought champion(s) or former champions in two different weight classes. Left hook destruction 🔥

In the heat of the moment, I wasn't really feeling Alex's win. I thought it was an early stoppage, but I'm fine with it now after looking back at it. Jiri's leg was done and he clearly went limb as he dropped to the canvas. Can't really blame the ref for calling it off. Jiri himself admitted that he was out for a moment, so there's not much to complain about. I think like a lot of people, I was expecting a war. That's where most of the disappointment comes from. Anyway, congrats to Alex for becoming double champ.

@@skyramafoil It was a tough choice to make. I'd rather have a fight end early than to have someone suffer serious damage. Jiri went limb as he was falling down. That's really all you need to see to call it off. His leg was a few kicks away from giving out anyway, so the fight wouldn't have gone on for much longer.

Alex Pereira’s career is incredible man. His debut was just under 2 years and now izz a champ on two different divisions on that short period of time. Hespect! 👊

His left hook wasn't even in a nice and perfect range/distance. It was so close but fatal. Damn!

Imagine if Alex really wound up and hit someone, he’d probably kill ‘em with those little gloves! That little check hook had Jiri in another world and he’s a warrior as well, much respect to both sides

@@ISimulacraaa These guys are well over 200 pounds wearing small gloves and are known to generate a ton of power. Human's aren't designed to take that damage to the head, the fact that there are rare individuals who can take more than others doesn't mean everyone else has a questionable chin.

@@ISimulacraaa you're not following what's being said here buddy. The higher the weight the stronger the punches the bigger ratio of knock outs regardless of what your chin is made of.
