Carlos needs to be discussed as a potential HOF inductee. Fought everybody with a name at 170. Interim champ. Almost finished GSP, and gave us some absolute BANGERS consistently.

Carlos Condit has everyone you wanted in a fighter. He has technique, he had style and he had mfing GRIT. Dude was an absolute lethal animal.

Carlos Condit was a kickboxing tornado back in time. I still can't digest the fact the he wasn’t the undisputed champ. Got so close with that headkick to GSP and judges robbed him vs Lawler.

We saw something similar to this with Neil Magny vs Mike Mallot. The young Canadian was beating the veteran for most of the fight but in the final round, they get put on their back and finished in the last 20 seconds of the fight

This was an instant classic. Rory only had 10 fights and this was that "Next Level" fight. He got everyone's respect for giving Condit hell. And, as for Condit, that was straight out of a movie. He had to go for it in r3, and he got it done with seconds left.

Rory was a totally different fighter before all the wars and namely the Robbie fight changed him. I would have loved to see this version of Rory have a war with Douglas Lima, but by the time they fought Rory was a shell of himself.

Rory was a speacial fighter and so is the best chin in mma carlos condit, both always brought violence and it's a big shame that both of them didn't end up with the ufc gold around their waists, this era of the welterweight division was really at it's peak

that was a great ref call if you saw how long rory was getting ground and pounded for, he wasn't gonna get out in those 15 seconds and he could've been alot worse off with a few more strikes... he was a beating at the end when he took him down

I remember this. I loved both these fighters but that stoppage wasn’t necessary. Rory was alert enough to move his head away from the punches and wasn’t taking a pounding.
