That's why I like Jose Aldo... The guy is so respectful of most (if not ALL) his opponents... There have even been moments I remember (I think it was the Mendes fight) wherein he thought he hit Chad w/ a low blow and the ref didn't see it and told Chad and Jose to keep fighting... And Jose stopped fighting disregarding the refs instructions to make sure Chad (again I think it was Chad) was ok before they started fighting again... He has done this in multiple fights... Once was for a low blow another was for an eye poke... Even when he fought Faber... He could have finished that fight easily but he let up and let Urijah save face in that fight. In my opinion HE should be the P4P No.1 fighter... Not b/c of his in ring respect... But for the fact that he has been a champ for a longer period, the length of time he has gone undefeated, he is fighting in a MUCH harder division and he STILL makes it all look easy. All due respect to Jon Jones but out of the two I think Jose has the better case for being the P4P No.1 fighter.
@akeldama649210 жыл бұрын
Lol - he hardly understands english. If anything, he thought the ref was warning him about the low blow. Jose is awesome - but take down this illustrious mental picture you painted in your head. Dude is a killer and lived a rough life.
@JEFFCLEVANDR10 жыл бұрын
Akeldama Have you seen the fight and the part which I am talking about??? Aldo UNDERSTOOD that the ref told him to continue... And you can see that he IGNORED the instructions and stopped on his OWN accord... I know that Aldo is a killer but you can also be a nice person at your core at the same time...Michael McDonald is a perfect example.
@JEFFCLEVANDR9 жыл бұрын
***** He said he hadn't noticed until it was pointed out in the aftermath of winning the fight... He saw Jung drop and he went in for the finish as any fighter would... But name any other incident??? Or even name just ONE incident wherein the champ was not provoked yet still acted un-sportsman like towards his opponent??? Fact is that if you were to do a comprehensive list of both sides (respectful or not respectful) you would find that there are a PLETHORA examples in favor showing Aldo as being respectful and VERY few showing Aldo being disrespectful towards his opponents.

I've been a fan of Overeem for quite awhile. In this vlog, even though we only saw a few seconds of Overeem, its the most real version I've seen of him in all my years of watching him on tv. Always with the cocky persona. Before the fight with the heavy anxiety breathing then after the ko fight seemed like he was holding back tears and in shock almost. Like Silva said, Black Zillians is business where their camp is family.

It still amazes me the culture we have in the UK about UFC. I can see why Dana has said before its impossible to get into until people are educated on the sport. I was surprised a few weeks ago on our main sports channel called Sky Sports on the Sports News Channel MMA was actually highlighted due to Ricky Hatton (Ex Boxer) who was doing some training with some MMA guys. Sky recently got rights for NBA id hope in next few years UFC is added to the list it needs it in the UK !!
