There is a moment in the hallway where Bruce Buffer talks to Rousey about introducing her in the ring. As he walks away you can hear him almost sing "it was a dream". Lovely moment. So many lovely moments in this video now that I think about it.

the look in rousey's eyes straight the fuck up gave me chills... i'm in love.

Actually he's almost the in-house sports psychologist, he's the guy the fighters turn to if they have any concerns or fears. He's the guy they talk to if they need someone, and also they guy who organises anything that they need.

I'm sure some fighters don't like it, but I know a lot of fighters who have said in interviews that they love it. Most recently Rampage comes to mind. He said it was one of the few things he was going to truly miss about the UFC.

Machida straight in there with Dana after the post-fight presser, "it's tough". Don't worry, you won't get cut for your performance against Hendo, you're not a small enough name. Keep up the good work.

He's Burt Watson - UFC site coordinator, part-time hype man, part-time counselor, part-time disciplinarian, jack of all trades. Despite a laundry list of responsibilities, his main focus centers on monitoring the weight of fighters throughout any given fight week to ensure they are able to compete.

Even though it always great to see fighters go into a fight with grudges and beefs with their opponents, it is also and probably better when they are doing it because its business and they know what they got to do.

IMO I thought Bermudez and Grice was a draw with Grice getting first 2 and Bermudez coming back in the last with one of the most exciting rounds of the year so far...Lawler looked good @ 170 stifling Koschecks ground game and getting the stoppage...Neer came back and gave Mcgee a fight after a disappointing 1st round...Urjiah did what he does when he faces someone below him...went through Menjivar...Rousey and Carmouche was exciting...Hats off to Liz great performance,,,ROUSEY DOES IT AGAIN!!!!
@KCIAN211 жыл бұрын
So, what you're saying is Dana and the UFC who have said for at least two years now that they want Wanderlei to retire, which probably would have came to fruition had he lost, told Brian Stann to stand there to let Wanderlei win thus putting all future retirement plans on hold for another year and affecting his health in the long run. And in what world is Brian Stann not a brawler?

I feel sorry for dan henderson.. Im a huge fan and we wont have him for long so I hope he only gets the BIGGEST fight so we can enjoy him in real wars the dude is so strong everybody is affraid of his power.
@Wisdumb1211 жыл бұрын
You didn't address the issue I brought up. Yes it may increase the amount of finishes, but the system provides substantial advantages to those with strong chins and disadvantages to those lacking knockout power. Think about the consequences it would have on the lighter weight divisions, where we don't get many knockouts due to guys having less power. The system won't be equitable, and rewards power and durability over actual technique and skill.

Actually I'm pretty sure that was a scarf hold... which is a judo technique... so not exactly wrestling 101 (Not that I don't agree that the competition is a couple tiers behind Ronda in wmma, which is why the position was maintained effectively for so long)

Kos you may not have been out, but you took 6-7 SERIOUS unanswered blows to the head and if it not had been for the ref stepping in, Lawler would of kept raining down those heavy blows.
