Will always be my GOAT, & my personal favorite fighter of all time, from the very inception of mma to present day. Regardless of the belt, he’s a champion caliber fighter & more than a few of the notches on his belt were wins over multiple champions. The Diamond has consistently carried himself like a champion in & outside the octagon as well, just an old school badass that exudes class, dignity, honor, respect, & humility. Even his opponents love him & several legends of the sport list him as their favorite fighter too like khabib & islam. Dustin embodies everything I believe a true champion should be: heart, nothing but sheer grit, peak discipline, astounding fight IQ, best boxer in the history of MMA, & the ability to consistently level up after every fight he’s ever had despite a career of wars & aging taking its toll. Plus, not many fighters have the mind to be as self aware as he is. I’m gonna be fighting back tears when he hangs them up in Louisiana after sleeping Max. I used to throw on his first fight with Gaethje to get in the zone before I’d head to the gym or starting a jog. Dude’s an inspiration & legendary hall of famer that helped make the sport what it is today.
