I’ve just watched the fight and I came here to read the comments. Even his own corner said it looked like he was 2 rounds down. Very close. When Nurm was leaning in to him against the fence it didn’t look good. Some great defending but technically, does that score?

@@alistairborthwick2031 Many corners say that to make their fighters fight more thinking they're losing, it's a mind game. Stalling the fight 9n the fence doesn't score neither, the first thing the judges consider is striking and Elizeu landed more throughout.

Not all five fingers r equal Abubakar isn't *Khabib Islam Usman Umar or Anklaev* . Surely he is related to them but he doesn't have the 🔥 the way they do ... no hate to Abubakar. He can still fix his performance in the next match ... his coach said he had a knee issue so losing from a split decision isn't that bad

Everybody knows abubakar sucks. Dagestan is a tiny little republic and the fact that out of the entire world with so many countries and ppl, for there to be so many top level fighters from this tiny republic tells you how they are build.

@Mr.Wolfchamp 1999 there's never a myth. When people said, "those Dagestanis are built different", it's an idiom instead of the literal meaning. Just like when people talk about Russian, Spartan etc. It's an idiom. Everybody knows Abubakar sucks. And yes, it's awesome to see such a great fighting culture where there are so many world class athletes from such a small population.

People don't like dagestani fighters. They've shown that time and time again. Because people would rather fighters stand and bang then use grappling. Its the truth. I fucking love dagestani fighters. Their level of dominance is insane. But after I saw the way people treated islam after the volk fight I knew it was strictly a dagestani hate train.

It should have been unanimous. Abubakar barely won 1 round and lost 2. Even then he had a bushy beard as shock absorbers. Had he fought beardless or trimmed it to an inch and a half he would've gotten knocked out.
