Machida has some of the best kicking techniques in UFC history. My first taste of a combat discipline was Karate & then Taekwondo. Both were perfect for my body type. Wirey/Tall/Lanky. I wish I would've stuck with them and added JUDO & Boxing

3:00 Machita Truly a class act. He doesn’t run in and punch an unconscious man in the face, like 99% of the KOs in the UFC. Belfort hasn’t even completely hit the mat, and Machida has already stopped his attack. He doesn’t run around the ring screaming and climbing the fence. He would, of course, have every right to... but instead he bows to his opponent and sits down. It’s nice to see some true martial artists in MMA.

I was at UFC 175 when he faced Weidman for the belt. Chris mauled him for the first 3 rounds with his wrestling... then inexplicably came out in Round 4 and for some insane reason decided he was going to throw with Machida and damn near got finished by the Dragon. Chris came back out in Round 5 and wrestled the shit out of him for 5 minutes... lesson learned!

Who in their right mind would "think badly" of silva? Outside of him clowning around with some of his later opponents he will always be a legend. And this is coming from me they guy whos favorite fighter of all time was Rich Franklin who only ever lost to guys who would go on to be champions outside chung lee(of which he was past his prime) and lost twice to silva. Nobody can question his G.O.A.T. status.

I wouldn't say Vitor is a "highly respected name in the sport" especially with his history of PED abuse and excuse making every time he loses. Its not a shame to see him lose twice to this same technique, its a defensive hole in his style that he failed to rectify. Its also fun to make jokes about his alleged foot fetish as well.

So during his UFC career he was tested positive for PEDs. Prime or not he was popping PEDs. It was a great try, not your turn.... Try not ride Silva so much ;) ;)

You have to disguise it because if you overuse it the opponent just takes half a step back, you miss, your hands naturally drop and you elevate your chin and they have you square on for a counter.

That was my first UFC PPV... I seriously couldnt believe it. Was expecting a beautiful calculating Silva end it with one of those out-of-nowhere chin shots after a few flurries of accurate combos, but instead... He was never the same after that and I stopped watching for years.

When Silva kicked Belfort you could definitly tell Belfort was expecting it to be a body shot. You can see he tenses his stomach muscles and leans back a bit, it almost looks like he was even possibly going to try to counter off it... but Silva had other plans lol! Such a beautiful kick.
