@@markusdowney5457 Borz is so much younger, had more time to grow into the weight class, and Usman still took him to a draw. Usman didn't lose. He came off a 2 fight skid, admitted he lost a lot of confidence since those fights, and gave Borz hell. Champion for life!

What a statement by Makhachev, had it gone to the distance the "short notice" condition would have kicked in and would be a valid excuse, but to get brutally knocked out fresh in the very first 3min of the fight is a very bad look for Volk.

It's not just the condition dork. Fighters out of shape lose strenght, explosiveness and the reflex is worst. He was pacing himself too wich changes the fight.

Nah, not really. Main and co-main had respected legends filling in on short notice. Sure, UFC made it up to them with $$$ to salvage the event, but IMO there will always be an asterisk on these.

Khamzat is a beast, to do that to someone like Usman who’s a stud was incredible. Ain’t no one keeping Usman down like that specially with a hand issue. He will only keep getting better. And regarding Islam - Guys just on another level. I’ve been saying it for years. Also soon as Oliviera beat Chandler, Poirier and Gaethje I told my Mrs after the 2nd defence, Islam’s taking the belt.

No he won't. He's on the slide and Khamzat is on the up. Usman is not getting any better and Khamzat is learning at a rapid rate. Khamzat would win more cleanly next time.

@@Boylo2492 khamzat is overhyped ... and was that his best fight with a full camp and can't even finish Usman? Khamzat took cleaner shots from Usman. Yes he took Usman to the ground but twas somethinng Usman cannot handle. His wresting is overrated cant even finish Usman on the ground. He struggled with Burns and with Usman who took the fight on a short notice.

@PolskiMadz that's your opinion but I don't agree. Usman is probably the consensus greatest welterweight ever, along with GSP. His greatest strength is wrestling and Khamzat was at time toying with him in that department. You're now bringing up Burns. That has nothing to do with this fight. Both Burns and Usman are a real test for anyone. We also know Khamzat had serious issues making 170. It sounds like you just don't personally like Khamzat and it's clouding your vision and your ability to see he's clearly a top of the food chain mixed martial artist.

Really dont care what everyone says. Ofcourse respect to Usman and volk to take the fight at short notice. But it was a clear win for Khamzat with most takedowns and usman landed shots in 3rd round which actually got connected, but Khamzat had the domination on round 1. round 2 was a bit off but we got to know that his wrist broke. inspite he won, ofcourse people will say whatever they want but facts are he won, if there would've been any problem usman would've brought it up straight.

Por su última performance, Chimaev no merece la pelea por el título (e incluso no está preparado), mínimo una o dos peleas más. Esa pelea de campeonato solo tiene sentido por el PPV.

Well if khamzat wants to be greatest of all time he’s gonna have to do something about that gas tank of his . He will never get thru 5 rds like that. He barely got thru 3 rds with little to no volume in rds 2 & 3. If he can do what he did in the first round every rd the man will stop anyone . But that’s a hard pace to keep for anyone .
