MH Vs CN would have been ruled a no contest today. Big John knew The UFC wanted Matt as champion and went out of his way to wake Matt up without it looking too obvious. This is at a time where the UFC are still finding themselves, looking for stars, they wanted Matt to win and he did with a lot of help.

It’s crazy to me the first like 15 years of slam knockouts every commentator thought it was head to the mat. Only one I seen was ironically mat Hughes that didn’t get his knockout by accidental headbut. 99% of the time (including rampages fantastic slams in pride) they’re headbut knockouts. Wonder it they’ll ever start calling those knockouts no contests, and actually award slam knockouts by having the head hit the mat and not the others head lol.
