Thank you guys, finally people acknowledging the same thing I do every time I hear that 'perfectly timed' call. It was close but 'perfectly timed' would have been him screaming 'knocked out' at the point his foot connected with Etim's face. Takes absolutely nothing away from the ko or from the call but it just wasn't as 'perfect' as it gets made out to be

Yeah his wheel kick was different. He like turned and could see his opponent whilst swinging the wheel kick over. Was beautiful. Others swing their wheel kick and aren't even looking they just pray it connects

yeah what makes his so special is the heel lands flush on the jaw : most of the other kicks don’t land like his did . most are landing with the calf on the top of their head . edson just measure it perfectly

People forgot about Vannata's head kick on prime T Ferg that knocked Tony out on his feet but somehow Tony survived it and ended up getting the W. Vannata came in on two weeks' notice as a replacement in his first UFC fight against a T Ferg who at the time was on an 8 fight win streak and #3 in the division. Too bad Vannata couldn't have pulled that off. That would've been the greatest upset in UFC history.
