I was lucky enough to meet and hang with Rory in Vegas the weekend of UFC146. He wasn't fighting but was still there to see Anderson vs Sonnen II . A mutual friend had organized the meeting as I was just diagnosed with Cancer and was told the worst. Rory met with me and invited me to a UFC get together with other fighters, he really did go above and beyond the photo and autograph signing. RM is a very sincere and kind person , yes a bit shy. I will never forget the conversations we had, understanding his true determination of wanting and training to be the best. Luckily after I came home from that weekend I was accepted into a drug treatment trial, almost four years later I'm still here. coping but not cured.. This weekend in Ottawa I'll be going to what will most likely be my last UFC event to cheer Rory on. WAR RORY!! YOU GOT THIS!!!!

Recently saw Rory's fight against Lawler and even though he lost, I feel he instantly became one of my favorite fighters for his heart and his great technique.

Man wish he stayed stayed a little longer because he could've hold that belt for sure. Woodley was a reigning champ and Rory had a win over him in which he completely neutralized Woodley, but he left just before that. At least he got to make a lot money tho outside the ufc.

In his interviews he seems a little awkward, but dedicating your life at an early age to fighting will do that to you. Stephan has an mysterious technique, but Rory and Firas will figure it out, and find away to bring it to the ground. Stephan has good jiu jitsu off his back (purple belt) and can likely defend most submissions, Rory can finish a submission, but maybe not with the time given. I think Rory will bring it to the ground and finish with strikes. TKO late 2nd or 3rd round. Also with a lot less chance he catches a kick in the 1st round and uses leg game, long shot bet he wins 1st round with heel hook or knee bar submission.

Guys gimme a break. THOMPSON needs a miracle to win against rory. Every punch Robbie threw at rory was an attempt for a knock out but rory stood up like a beast. You need to cause him huge pain like the previous match with the literally destroyed nose. The only way I see Thompson win is rory trying for a takedown to the hips and Thompson counter attacking with a knee or leg
