He earned it but I don't think you can say that politics didn't play some role in him getting the shot. Surely he had to have been selected or elected as the number one contender off simply beating Rozenstruik. Was Rozenstruik even a contender? He had some good wins but he wasn't a contender I don't think.

Well... Ask Fernand Lopez about that. Lopez and all of the MMA Factory gym helped him big time, giving him a roof, food, gear, a place to train in, all of that for free because Francis was so poor (he was homeless when he met Lopez). But when money and fame arrived, he certainly didn't give anything back. The gym was struggling (MMA was still illegal and pretty unpopular back in the day in France) but that guy didn't seem to care all of a sudden. So f--- him! All due respect to the fighter, he is a killer, but the man... I hope he gets humbled by Gane.

I'm actually more impressed by Francis's English ability now than anything else. You expect him to be good at fighting, that's his job, but he learned an entire new language on the side. Dude understood the distinction between defending and unifying. Look at guys like Aldo who've been fighting in America for more than a decade and still use translators.

I can't wait for this fight! I respect Francis for all that he has accomplished. No one gets to the top alone, but learning about his personality and work ethic, he has played an active role in nearly every aspect of his journey. That could be a bad thing, but huge props to him! Gane is going to piece him up though, so long as he avoids the power.

I remember when Colby stated “ Francis is a quitter “ I love Colby , I am always a fan but you are 💯 wrong on this ….
