Josh Thomson and Gilbert Melendez's rivalry dates back to their days in Strikeforce where their trilogy of title fights proved epic. Thomson was present as his former nemesis squared off against Diego Sanchez for what turned out to be an instant classic.

I know I noticed that too!!! I was shocked cuz usually dana doesn't pay much attention to fights or show big reactions in a PPV event fight. Awesome fight. Wish I knew where to find the full fight. It seems as if it disappeared from the internet 3-5 years ago

When Diego had Gil hurt, he should've kept punching him instead of looking for a sub... he let him recover. If Diego just wailed on him with strikes, it could've been a completely different story.

Seeing Dana White jump from his seat after witnessing Diego knock down Gilbert in the 3rd round in complete disbelief was truly priceless. The fight truly was an instant classic and hearing the crowd and everyone else was great.

Dana White's the one that cares so much about that shit. I say let em fight however they want. Who cares if this guy is on steroids if his opponent possibly could be too? That's what always made PRIDE exciting. The Japanese fans wanted to see the best fighters against the best fighters. They didn't give a shit if one guy was on testosterone and another guy was on some other shit or whatever the fuck.
