Gunnar is one of my favorite fighters. Veteran of the game, carries himself with dignity, and just smooth, slick with the ground game man. Absolute legend

To think he’s been at the game this long and he’s only 34 speaks volumes, who knows, he def has the experience and Discipline to carry himself ahead while he’s still in his prime. I think the rest might have made him better fighter, maybe him and Geoff Neal or Neal magny next would be interesting

He was blackballed for his stance on how all school shootings are a hoax and paid actors. He wouldn’t back down or apologize so I always respect someone who supports crazy ideas publicly and will never back down from it

Reminds me of good old days from the ufc dublin when Conor, Nelson and paddy holohan were in the same stage in the post fight press conference after the wins.

It is a classical text book arm bar. He is a true martial artist. He does not do the weight cut(he regular weights around 170-175lb) like others do to get the competitive advantage. He is just enjoying it.

Most of his fights were long before that, he doesn’t have any interest in trying to get to a title shot he fights for fun his family are the richest family in Iceland and he runs a massive gym if he wanted a top 5 fight tomorrow he could ask for it, there is no “he deserves” he’s already proven he can beat world class opponents long before you even knew what the sport was bud

Gunnar only has 3 fights in the UFC since 2019 and has not been there since this fight. I know he got injured in the pandemic, but it's a sin if we don't see more of this wunderkind. Would love to see more of him.
