@@infiniterer287 Which is a mistake in my opinion. While Sterling can outstrike him from distance by poking randomly with his weird movement, he’s not a counter striker. He’ll flow with your movement and if you stay still he’ll catch you with a spinning elbow or a looping punch, but when Cejudo kept his combinations long and his guard high while marching forward, he was having success. I felt like he traded against Aljo with combos that were too short. He tried to just hit him once and took leg kicks and jabs from Aljo while trying. But when he had to go for it in the fifth round he pushed for longer and trapped Sterling against the cage, and hurt him with some of the shots to the head.

There's no denying that Henry Cejudo is an absolute legend in the world of combat sports. As an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling and a former two-division UFC champion (Flyweight and Bantamweight), his impact on the sport is simply unparalleled. While some might be quick to criticize his performance against Aljamain Sterling, it's crucial to remember that Cejudo had a 3-year layoff prior to that fight. Such a lengthy hiatus can definitely impact a fighter's sharpness and timing, regardless of their previous achievements. No one should discredit Cejudo's incredible legacy just because of one loss; the man is, and will always be, a true icon of the sport

I don’t think he should retire. Coming off a 3yr layoff and still being that competitive should be a clear sign that if he stays active he can reach the top again. He looked a step behind from what he use to be

Remember Cejudo won his flyweight title by split decision

@@infiad1275 Cejudo won via a split, defended against a man who’s body literally couldn’t make 125 without outside assistance, decisively beat Marlon, and beat Cruz who took the fight on extremely short notice Aljo had a decisive win against Sandhagen, DQ against Yan, Split win against Yan with decisive rounds 2 and 3, Dominated TJ who’s shoulder wasn’t dislocated when stepping into the ring btw, and a split but clear victory over Cejudo who said he felt better than he did in any of his previous fights Their last 4-5 fights are very similar

Love Henry. He is so smart.

The reach & size gave him a lot of issues it seemed. He's still a stud fighter. Doesn't seem like he wants contender fights though.

Yep, the reach difference (7 inches) is the same as Izzy vs. Whittaker (80" to 73")

This fight reminded me a lot of DC vs Jones 1 Both DC and Henry struggle against the superior reach of their opponent. Also the athlestism of sterling reminds me of Jones

Sterling was actually compared to Jones for awhile honestly. That was before he became champion.

Peeps calling Henry the GOAT were jumping the gun. That's not to say he's not one of the most skilled fighters to ever do it or that he's one of the best to ever do it, but Henry is ultimately top 15.

What's gonna hurt Cejudo more than not winning the belt or just simply losing is the fact he's going to lose his aura of retiring on top as the "best" and might affect his youtube channel a bit of being the "know it all analyst man in UFC" it's not the same after you just lost and got outskilled for a 3-4 rounds. It's easy to talk and say you should done this or that but if you can't apply it in the cage, it's useless. The range was an issue but still.. I like Cejudo, not hating, wish him the best
