@@harlyn101Both of those can be potentially worse but the thing is, you can block, dodge, parry and defend from strikes. In MMA you can end the fight without taking or dealing strikes as well. People acknowledge that there can be serious damage with those sports, the issue most have with this is that taking damage is essentially mandatory. Not only that, but part of the "sport" requires you to stand there and let your opponent wind up a massive shot. It's the repeated trauma that usually causes CTE in the long run, which is what slap fighting essentially consists of.

@@MillMillerz CTE is almost guaranteed in combat sports (ufc & boxing). Sure in power slap you’re going to get it, but I can’t imagine them getting hit during a ‘sparring’ session, the same way fighters get hit constantly in training etc.
