So many of em, they missed the peak GOAT. 2012-2015 was different. People get amazed by what Usman was doing and mention him as a 170 GOAT but Jones did what Usman did 4 times over. Imagine if Jones had that run in this era with these many fans. I don't think we're gonna see the Jones type of all around dominance again, I bring up Usman because he was similar, but Leon took that all away real quick.

I mean he hasn't done this in years, he's fresh> I assure you if he fights again in 5 months, next fight week isn't gonna be as fun for him as he's doing it all over again in a very short period of time, but coming back fresh to something you know damn well and miss deep down, seems easy for a person like Jon. My prediction for the fight. In the 5th round, with Jones having the fight in his hands. The lights will go out and when they come back, Francis will be in the octagon, he hits jones with a steel chair and leaps over the cage. Gane gets to his feet, puts the unconscious Jones in a choke. The ref has no option but to end the fight. Gane becomes the new champ. This sets up the rivalry for Jones vs. Francis.

New fans should definitely do their homework on the greats though. Jones, Silva, GSP, DJ, Khabib, etc. The different styles and why they’re great. Then they get to have their own true opinion on fighters that are great now and upcoming too

@@joshsjourneysupreme347 Gane hasn’t ever fought anyone like Jon, let’s be honest here. Jon was a champ by 23, defended it 7 times by 27. Then has 14 title defenses, which is something no one will ever accomplish again. How about the fact that Jon has 14 title fights, when Gane only has 12 pro fights period. Nobody has the big champion fight experience like Bones.

So Jones taking out some of the best to ever do it, with way more legendary careers than Gane doesn’t mean anything. Gane is good, but his ground game really isn’t. Not to mention Jon took out 3 generations of Light Heavyweights, so there is no debate that he’s the goat. Even if he lost he would still be the greatest and GSP is a close second.

It's mind-blowing how little respect these newer fans have for Jones. You can hate him all you want for his past mistakes but you can tell he's a changed man and clearly, one of the greatest fighters of all time. He'll probably retire after Stipe but it'd be great if he finished out his entire contract. After Stipe, probably not much matters other than doing it for legacy and the love of the game which is why you should do it, but going out on top and basically undefeated is certainly understandable as well. I just selfishly want more great fights from Jon.

If he could handle Light heavyweights speed I’m pretty sure he can handle Gane’s speed. Gane is fast for heavyweight but in general he’s probably not that fast of a striker compared to the lighter weights.
