Theres literally 1 million ways to win or lose a MMA contest, you dont have to do either A or B, you have the full alphabet n unlimited variations of expression within it. Wouldn't have been wise for Murphy to fight in any way that suited Emmett's skills better, no reasonable person would ask that of him. However, Its far from unreasonable to ask n expect him to fight in such a way that us fans can see that he is actually trying to end a fight, as opposed to looking to get rewarded for surviving one in relative comfort.

Murphys hat ja in den wenigen kurzen brawls durchaus gezeigt, dass er dabei mithalten u gute Treffer austeilen kann ...hat Emmet sogar angeschlagen... umso mehr hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass er sich richtig stellt oder offensiver kämpft. Natürlich hat er auch im Rückwärtzgang u Fortlaufen mehr Treffer gesetzt als Emmet, aber es sah aus, als würde er dem Kampf ausweichen u seine offensiven skills u Grundfähigkeiten nicht wirklich nutzen u nicht an einem Finish Sieg sondern nur am Sieg mit möglichst wenig Aufwand interessiert sein. Ja, er war schneller, treffdicherer u insgesamt besser als Emmet, aber es hat keinen Spaß gemacht zuzuschauen..

Harmless tippy tapping in retreat doesn't trump effective aggression. Effective Aggression FORCES an opponent to defend. Defending FORCES an opponent to do nothing.

God the ufc’s fans are 98% knockout feens, can nobody appreciate styles, tactics, and intelligence anymore? I love Emmett, as a bay area native I wanted nothing more than for him to win this fight, but u gotta acknowledge Lerone’s fight iq here whether or not its boring to u, i urge everybody to give training any martial arts a try for 4-6 months and see how fast what elements that once bored u in the ufc dont anymore

I've always thought the point fighting argument was stupid 💀 idk maybe I'm just different but I'm always more impressed watching a fighter like murphy vs a fighter like chandler or something like I get it, it's bloody it's a brawl etc. But I view it as so sloppy. If you can keep it clean, dance around and hit your opponent and have them barely land on you? I've always just thought that's cooler to me! Fighters like izzy, leon, Ian garry, mauricio ruffy. Like the beauty of crisp striking man I love it

All the cage leaning defense dilutes the spirit of fighting for the ufc. The breather you wouldn't otherwise have in other environments certainly undermines takedowns in general. This is a good example of wondering if the better fighter won without the grappling handicap. Nice fight from the fighters standpoint. Just criticizing the format of this sport from one aspect.
