@Romanov Kazdavicovich I’m not talking about the cuts I’m talking about the swelling. If I recall, over the entire fight Bisping landed like 40 more sig strikes than Hendo but he also missed over hundred more than him. This fight is a good example of why the UFC needs to score fights differently. Stop this silly ass boxing style 10-9 w rounds scored individually and added together but instead score the entire fight like pride and other promotions did. It’s a more accurate judges decision. To have someone land more punches but still do less damage and have a lower accuracy percentage cuz they’re missing a ton, and have that translate to a win when they clearly took far more damage and were the only one to get close to KOed and on 2 occasions is preposterous.
Romanov Kazdavicovich
Romanov Kazdavicovich 6 күн бұрын
@Jimmy Novak Damages not necessarily mean hard punches.. Bisping is know to get cut very easily, like Nathan Diaz & Georges Saint-Pierre for example. Two big rights hands who caused two knockdowns in the first & second round can’t win a fight. Bisping completely outsriked Hendo every rounds, if he lost the first two it’s cause of the knockdowns. Check the officials stats of the fight, the difference of sig strikes is ridiculous !
Jimmy Novak
Jimmy Novak 6 күн бұрын
@Bobby Ears So you think ineffective, non damaging, higher volume strikes w lower landing percentage should beat out effective, damaging, lower volume strikes w higher landing percentage?? So being more efficient and doing more damage is bad somehow. Add 2 KDs and a TD plus 1min 43sec control time for Hendo and 0 KDs, 0 TDs and 1sec of control for Bisping. On top of all that Hendo looks virtually the same at the end as he did entering the cage while Bisping had both his eyes swollen damn near shut and looked more like Sloth from The Goonies at the end. He looked like he gave some poison sumac a rim job ffs. Lol That wasn’t a win. If it was why tf would anybody want to win if the winner takes more damage and gets far more mangled than the loser? The only caveat would be getting beat up like that but pulling off a finish. And it was def controversial at the time and there’s good reason for that. Even the experts questioned it and thought the judges fucked up. Or did you forget that?

@Jimmy Novak what r u smoking? Hendo literally only landed two punches the whole fight. Damage doesn't equal win

@I identify as a shark I wouldn’t say that imo. He had a big round for sure. I’d have to rewatch it but I had it 3-2. Hendo could’ve won. He was close. Maybe one 10-8, but I can’t remember. I don’t give 10-8 rounds easily. It takes absolute domination with no effort on the other side for me

Bisping fought Silva, got koed by flying knee, but Herb didnt stop it. Silva shouldve been winning the judges. Got title shot being ranked 7 in the division. Got the belt. Then fought ranked 13, 45y old Henderson, getting absolutely smashed. Hendo came without a scratch, once again funny judges. Hes probably the luckiest man in UFC history, being average at best, yet all the cards went well for him.

All of those things are true. He is a total bad ass for sure. But it did seem like something was at play once he was champion. What is funny is we would never celebrate any other champion who purposely ducked the top 12 guys to fight a ranked #13 opponent, THEN choose to fight a welterweight 4 years removed from the sport. Had he fought Gastellum just 3 weeks earlier instead of GSP, Kelvin would have won the title.
