The cardio of the Diaz bros was insane back in the day.

They were/are triathletes. Probably had the best cardio in the entire UFC alongside prime Randy Couture, Rich Franklin and Michael Bisping.

they dont pull back at all on their punches all of their punches are jabs its a very unique strategy but it doesnt necessarily mean they have insane cardio, no offense to nate or nick but to just throw jabs like this does not wear on the tank as much as hooks. the strikes nate throws are so weak but they do visual damage and so he can win the fight. I do notice tho that when nate gets his opponent tired he begins to actually put some power in the punches like we see at 3:27 diaz throws a real hook, but the accuracy takes a hit and it allowed cerone to take it on the neck

*It still is* . They still do the same, exact cardio routine.

@@WhatOkaybro99Let me expand a little bit on your response. Part of it is a tactic. Any triathlete, or even a basic runner knows you have to pace yourself and preserve energy to finish strong. The Diaz brothers both use this. However, we need to remember body types. Neither one of the Diaz bros are super powerful. They get you tired before trying to put you away. A guy like Conor proves opposite. He's completely a fast twitch muscle athlete. He can throw his entire body into a few strikes, but struggles to go the distance. The tactics are intentional based on their specific skill set. On a personal note, you can really beat someone badly with a good jab. It's a lot of people's best punch.

Nate was the one who was unnecessarily rude. During fight week Cerrone was actually stoked to meet him and went up to shake his hand as a fan. Nate just slapped his hand away, so that's why Cerrone was so pissed coming into this fight.

Nate was insanely out of shape for rda. Literally no one has defeated Nate by leg kicks since the rda fight. That’s not the blueprint to beat Nate. That’s a casuals observation. Even if Corrine spammed leg kicks in this fight it wouldn’t help, u can’t kick going backwards that’s how boxers are able to deal with kickers bcuz when u r pressure a kicker u stop their kicking power.

You can always tell a new fan when they don’t know calf kicks weren’t a thing back then. They didn’t start to come around until around 2016, and weren’t used like how they are now until like 2018. The only person who used them around this time was Benson Henderson. It’s why he’s credited with starting it.
