True martial artist respects his opponent. I mean, who gets to be a badass by beating up straight bums? Typically not as hard. So no. He needed that win to be over a worthy adversary. To have defeated a man with dignity. Means much more than just some worthless clown. And Nick seems like something of a true gentleman to me. Like from the old school. So I buy it all. Still the Nick Diaz Army,

I loved watching him so much. As much as there are similarities in both Diaz brothers, they are different to some degree. Nick had the more serious anger, and his in cage shit talking seemed a little more emotional but in a really epic good way.

Nick really does respect Frank as a legend. All that talk is just part of it. Nothing personal.

I can't believe the slow delivery yet precision Diaz has in the hands. it almost looked like a pro wrestling match. like the piper and the hammer dog collar match..

nicks def a legend and people do overlook him today... but Frank is one of the all time greatest fighters... in a lot of ways he was the first true MMA champ, and if youre an OG UFC fan, you realize this is 10 years past his prime.

Nick is a beast. Put him in front of a camera and he’s a nervous wreck but put him in a cage and he’s totally calm and ready for war.
