Just my opinion but I think the fact that Hintz is a bit easier to sell as a champ may have played into the judges decisions. Hintz was out on his feet but they gave him a chance to recover which he did. Vern on the other hand they called out pretty quick without really letting him rise to his feet.

Vern clubbed in round 1, AJ literally walked 3 steps in a straight line and he got approval, AJ stepped and then Vern got 8 seconds to recover. I don't know how people think this was the fight of the night. Also Vern was literally tucking his chin almost touching it on his chest lol, what?

Here's the difference. Cathy's strike was strong but too high. Ayjay's strike was right on the button. Aka on the jaw and just slightly at an upward angle. When you hit that spot with that force and the head jolts a certain way it's always going to be a KO. That was a perfect strike.
