The kid is 17 imagine the experience he’ll get in just a couple years. Although we’ve seen young stars like sage northcut and paige vanzant fall short because they were pushed too early, this kid has some real potential and talent it shows in his fights.

Absolutely insane level of skills for a 17 year old. Easily outgrappled an older, more experienced fighter, never panicked even in the dangerous situations. I just hope he takes his time and doesn't rushes things.

raul looked like a humble risk taker with a wild move in the first and second rounds, showing a lack of fear from reprecussions. and he really kept at least his legs really tight around mando, but just when i thought mando may continuisly struggle on the ground, he succeeded otherwise, then again and again.

@@mr.batman2348 Exactly. Look at Rory MacDonald. He had his first pro fight at 16, but he went on a slide in his early 30s and retired at 33. Sage Nortcutt at 19, but after that cheek-shattering KO he hasn’t fought again. It seems logical that the earlier you start the earlier you’ll finish.

This is just a glimpse of what the talent pool is going to look like in the coming years. The sport has grown so much in the past 10 years. It's not like back in the day when you'd have only a small amount of fighters that started training early in life. Nowadays, talent is damn near being engineered from birth. I cannot wait to see what the next 10 years will bring us.

@@jamesbutler80 I doubt it. The competition level will be higher. Especially since there are more guys coming in from Asia and East-Europe that have been molded into absolute killers. If anything, I don't think there will be long reigns anymore like an Anderson Silva, Jon Jones or DJ did years ago.

I’ve been telling everybody this kid is high level and he will be the champion of the bantamweight division one day! His ability to not only control his opponent, but to get out of bad positions so quickly. I’ve seen him do this consistently over his years of bjj comp and it’s clearly transitioning to his mma career. Go Raul!!!

I’m sure it must be hard for you to give a 17yr old his flowers, but if you went up against him, I’m sure he puts you to sleep in less than a minute. That’s what you need to see next time, he had his opponent in so many dangerous situations, and his movement we all aimed at getting the finish. That’s what’s impressive add that fact that his 17yrs old even better. Stop being salty.

But you can get your jaws crushed in a rare naked choke, your vocals and wind pipe permanently damaged, arms broke in a triangle and angle bar. Those techniques and situations are very dangerous to be in.

I actually went to school with Raul. One time I was walking home from school when a wolf suddenly appeared from the bushes, growling and ready to attack. Raul, who happened to be nearby, quickly came to my rescue and tackled the wolf to the ground, getting it in a headlock. Even though the wolf was much bigger and stronger than Raul, he held on tight until it finally fell asleep, saving me from a dangerous situation. I hope he wins this weekend!

Hahaha I worked there too, id make 140 pound balls of dough and whip it out of the ol hobart mixer in one lump. I weighed like 145 pounds, my forearms were like popeye. Id probably be able to rip my adult arms off and beat the ever loving shit out of me now.

Hope to see him grow from his recent defeat. It seems like he is too used to mowing over his opponents with energy and momentum. He will have to learn how to slow down and control fight outcomes. I'll be rooting for him.

I’m so proud for Rosas Jr for making into the big league although I hope that Dana doesn’t rush this talented fighter into make him fight too soon the top league. He has a lot of potential and plenty to learn! I feel Rosas will be one of the best in the bantamweight division if not even the champion! Let’s see what the future holds.
