Theyre promoting him because all their top choices just flat out refused so they need a fight or they lose their show. Ufc wasnt gonna promote him EVER but now they have no choice. Its called no other options...

Green has a very similar career to Masvidal before he became a star. A really talented, gritty, veteran with great story that has been around for awhile and very respected but never really got his chance vs top guys and lost a bunch of very close controversial decisions because he simply didnt throw enough output. Now that hes throwing more output hes winning these decisions and getting noticed. Green is a legit top 10 guy imo. Fought Fiziev to pretty much a dead even fight on the feet and could have won if it were a 5 rounder. Thats some elite level striking right there.

@@kinglofro3958 Khabib will fight standing up first in most of his match to tire out the opponent, islam is marginally stronger than Khabib so he doesn't have to, he can just overpower his enemy on the ground
