When they read the judges scorecards and the first judge scored the win for Paulo Costa the look on Sean’s face was like wtf not again.

We all felt like him in that moment, it's fucking wild and he wasn't the only one with a twisted scorecard that night. Unanimous decision all the way, he scored at least 4 rounds there, could maybe give 4th to Costa, because it did look kinda even and i couldn't tell. I knew some judge would probably somehow give 2 to Costa, 3 is just nuts, Costa had 0 pressure on Strickland, constantly running away and getting poked by Strickland. This just shows how big a of a joke some judges are, hope he doesn't have to wait too long to get a shot back at his stolen belt.

Unfortunately not, if he can literally win all 5 rounds and still have one of these corrupt judges try and rob him, then if he gives up even one round against DDP, they'll rob him again. They have to do something about this judging or the UFC is going to develop the same reputation as boxing.
@Newbtuber
@Newbtuber 8 ай бұрын
@@bluejay9235 Then he need to do more. When you are playing with the judges, you are always walking a thin rope. Sean style makes him vulnerable to judges. There is a reason why his past few loses has been due to close decisions. Even if he was champ, he wouldnt hold it for long because 1 night of having a bad judge will end his reign. When you have that much energy to throw flying kicks in the 5th round, I question if you truly were putting 100% into trying to end the fight. But once again, he does what he always does and apologize to the fans. Just how he fights and that is just how it is.
@bluejay9235
@bluejay9235 8 ай бұрын
@@Newbtuber It's not as simple as that, some guys just genetically don't have KO power, and Sean is one of those guys, so his style is the reason he's able to win, if he fought like he did at the end of the 5th, he'd get KO'd a lot more often. As you said though, it does lend itself to being on the wrong end of bad decisions, but the solution is to clean up the judging, not change your style. Floyd was able to utilize a defensive Philly shell style without having to worry about the judges robbing him, so it can be done, you just need to get people who know what they're looking at.
@Newbtuber
@Newbtuber 8 ай бұрын
@@bluejay9235 You are just sugar coating that Sean is a boring fighter. I am not shitting on him for having to do what he has to win, just that he is simply boring and that is reality. Judging in MMA is too complex because there are 3 form of judging and no real way to define the value of either of them. For example, how much submission attempt is equal to 1 jab? Based on Sean style, if he was to do what he always does against someone for 4 mins but the opponent land 1 punch that cut Sean, then Sean would lose that round. Since immediate damage trumps accumulative damage. Floyd is able to do what he does because boxing judges DEFENSE as part of the criteria. In MMA, that is not the case.

Sean has entered the Nate Diaz arena of not losing any shine regardless of a L or a W however and will gain a huge cult following just like the diaz bros. I totally disagree with the other gentleman ☝ because if you actually listen to Sean he does preach a good message in there if your willing to listen, unfortunately im a lil scared that he may soften up a lil too much with his new found love and lose his edge but its been a interesting journey with this lunatic 😆

Respect to Xtreme Couture MMA Las Vegas and all they do as a gym and team for their fighters and this sport in general. Strickland looked very well prepared tonight as is always the case with Eric Nicksick’s fighters.

The judge that scored the fight for Costa should have to either resign or have to fight Strickland for 90 secs

I love his shirt so much. Today is June 6th, the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Of the American involvement in Europe during WW2. I'm proud of the veterans who literally saved the world. I don't care for any other kind of pride this month...

Costa is to blame for the fight being boring. Strickland kept pressuring him but Costa remained on the back foot no matter what

Strickland is just a boring fighter with a runny mouth. Costa is usually a very exciting fighter.

Just look at both of their finish rates and you can easily tell who is the boring fighter. Just look at who apologize to the fans every fight because the fight is boring and you will know who is the boring fighter. Sean is simply a boring fighter. He always was and will be. Most of this comment section is people basking in how awesome and funny he is in the press conference then talking about the actual fight. His fans are starting to become worst then Izzy fans

@@NewbtuberI became a fan of strickland leading upto the pereira fight. Then I got ufc fight pass and watched everyone of his fights and became a real fan. I'm a fan of stricklands fighting style and his blunt honesty and self awareness. He's his own worst critic and is the first to point out his flaws. You can't deny his skill at this point.

Holy crap, I love this guy. He's done 5 rounds and still points out stupid stickers on some reporters laptop. I think if a belt was on offer Sean would drop the mike and go for it then and there. He has an opinion on everything and has no fear expressing it. As a society we are so shit scared to speak our mind. This man is doing it for all of us, and he is an MMA fighter for God's sake.
