Although Song Yadong won the three rounds... All 3 were really close. Henry looked good throughout the fight and actually landed more damaging strikes on Song. All those casuals saying Henry wanted a DQ win never actually got poked into their eyes mid fight

Jason is a great ref, but he handled this poorly. Should have been a point, and when he restarted the fight song went straight back to hanging his fingers directly towards Henry’s eyes and wasn’t pulled up on it.

Just needed to get this off my chest.. Cejudo quit on the stool. He finished the round, after the eye poke, and then quit on the stool going into the fourth round. He quit.. he was getting beatup and couldn't handle getting his ass handed to him for a third time in a row. He should have stayed retired.

Eye pokes have such a huge effect on fights. People just expect fighters to continue. A lot of fighters do continue, and they almost always lose. It should be 1 eye poke -1 point 2 eye pokes and you lose the fight.

To be honest Henry chose the time out to rest not recover.I think overall he quit.His eye is not red I mean but I understand for a guy who punches hard.But he punch with all his power and song wasn’t fazed he knew he couldn’t win.Still good performance for a 38 year old.Henry is fast for a 38 year old credits to him.But still Henry took the longest time the ever “recover” in the ufc due to an eye poke.i was waiting for this card for so long sad to see it end like this but Henry picked song to fight and didn’t even finish what he wanted to do.

The crowd just didn’t know what was going on. If the crowd would’ve heard why the ref started the fourth round like that, and if they heard Cejudo saying “I can’t see what he’s throwing, and I’m seeing double,” they might not have boo’d so much

bro wanted to end the fight with an eye piercing so there was a high probability of no result, but the referee decided to let the fight continue for the fourth round and call the doctor so that the fight would be decided based on the scores of the first three rounds so that Song would win or the fight would be inconclusive
