You'd be surprised if I tell you that he has been juicing, even with USADA being around. He has no injuries as of now, he's just sitting and being the juicy ratfuck that he has always been. He's just dropping his stock (or whatever was left of it) by the day. Stipe does indeed DESERVE a good pay day. Hopefully the immigrant mentality plays a crucial role in him knocking the juicy ratfuck out.

@@madgavin7568 Granted Ngannou has improved a lot since their first fight, Stipe handled Ngannou in similar dominance in their first bout. I think Ngannou vs Gane is the correct next move, but I'm personally hoping for Stipe to fight one of the top contenders to show he's still hanging on the championship level, then get a rematch if he wins. For someone as accomplished as him, that's what he deserves, and it also gives new contenders opportunities for the title and a road to the title. Stipe's reign was on limited time regardless though, you're right, there's new talented people in heavyweight and Stipe's getting up there in age.

Its because of marketing, a guy like Ngannou is 10x more marketable then a blue collar respectful guy like Stipe + nobody can hate on stipe.
@debajyotinath5021
@debajyotinath5021 3 жыл бұрын
its not disrespect really. UFC wants those fights which sells well and makes more money. When Stipe got KO by Cormier in the first fight, there was no other big challenge for Cormier left in the division, so Stipe vs Cormier 2 was sure to make money. When Stipe got KO by Ngannou, there was Lewis who has defeated Ngannou earlier, and there was Gane, who hadn't lost a fight. So a fight against any of these two was considered a better match rather than Stipe. They would have probably considered Stipe if only Stipe hadn't lost so badly. It was almost a no contest.

First with Fedor/big nog trilogy then Fedor Rule the heavyweight for the rest of 2000s. fall of Fedor in 2010 from no 1 fighter give rise to Cain Velasquez/jds trilogy. Then you have stipe/DC trilogy. That's also end. Stipe will be washed up. He is 39 years old now. Ngannou/Gane is future probably trilogy. If Gane or ngannou win this and rule for the rest of 2020s. It can be a good argument for heavyweight GOAT like Fedor emelianenko cause only Fedor win the trilogy and rule the rest of the decade while stipe and Cain win it too but cannot rule the rest of the years. How can I see it now of all time HW list is no.1 Fedor, no.2 stipe. No.3 Cain. Gane probably has potential to surpass all them cause he is very young.

@@Nostalgia_Addict Tough call, man. I'm thinking of that period when you had Velasquez, JDS, Lesnar and even Overeem at the end lurking around near the top. Also had contenders like Mir, Carwin, Nogueira, characters like Roy Nelson and a few others. Was a pretty hot division at the time, but that might just be nostalgia talking.

@jdong7527 2 жыл бұрын
If you compare the current top 3 Ngannou, Gane, Stipe in their prime vs the top 3 you listed from that passed era Velasquez, JDS, Lesnar, in their prime, the current top 3 are way better and more ruthless. This is the best the UFC has ever had it in the HW division.
@mikedangerdoes
@mikedangerdoes 2 жыл бұрын
@@jdong7527 Hey you might be right there. Maybe it was just the Lesnar hype but I felt like people were more excited about heavyweight at the time. That's kinda why I want Jones in there, just to give it some real star power. Because as much as we all like Miocic and Ngannou, they haven't really put in the work to promote themselves and haven't quite cracked it. I think in terms of ability and skill though you are probably right.

@debajyotinath5021
@debajyotinath5021 3 жыл бұрын
@@attiepollard7847 actually, knockout power is important in the HW div. Most of these guys can take someone down with one punch. This is not very common in lower weight divisions. so even if someone is very skilled, one wrong move and the fight is over. Look at what happened to Stipe in the first fight against Cormier and the second fight against Ngannou, Even after the loss, most people will admit that Stipe is more skilled than Ngannou. But it didn't matter.

Jon Jones wants the big fights to make more money. I guess he will retire soon whether he wins or loses. If he had planned for a career in the HW division, he wouldn't have wanted someone from the top 3 as his first opponent. HW is not just moving up a weight class from LHW. HW has no upper limit. That is why there are monsters like Ngannou in that division.
