No Knees to a grounded fighter, is an example of rule that isn't logical in the context of a fight - it allows a fighter to assume a position of weakness & thereby avoid taking further punishment. If the rules allowed knees to a grounded fighter, Aljo 100% wouldn't be kneeling down like he was, he'd have been actively avoiding that positioning at all costs. Hope that makes sense to you
