Yeah, he’s a good fighter but he was fast tracked into his way of a title shot because Izzy if he wasn’t fast, he probably would’ve lose to Marvin Jared and other contenders in the middleweight division, but since he was fast track of the title, he got Dana white privilege only with two fights in the UFC because of that interview that Izzy made if he fought other contenders without being fast, tracked his way to the UFC. He would’ve lost to some killers

@zacharymehrotra2156 They entire premise of no holds barred, Vale tudo & later on MMA was to get as close to a "real" fight in a competitive/sport setting & then see what techniques from all the various unarmed combat arts worked the best. No Knees to a grounded fighter, is an example of rule that isn't logical in the context of a fight - it allows a fighter to assume a position of weakness & thereby avoid taking further punishment. If the rules allowed knees to a grounded fighter, Aljo 100% wouldn't be kneeling down like he was, he'd have been actively avoiding that positioning at all costs. Hope that makes sense to you
