@@upupupandaway Add in that he predicted it with absolute assuredness from July to December every chance he got in detail, from verbal assessments on the press tour to physically backstage right before the fight, anticipating that identical sequence, just adds to the magic of it. He was just so damn confident. He's smiling, prowling, calling out 'Let's go boy', totally relaxed in his belief. A lightening in a bottle, once in a lifetime moment and I'm so glad I'm in a comment section where people are actually paying it the rightful respect. I've seen people say everything from 'It was lucky' to 'He never gave Aldo the rematch', which are both utterly wrong but for another day.

He still is, but lets see how Alexander Volkanovski goes as champion. If he keeps defending his belt, and gets 5-6 defences he would have a very solid argument for being the greatest FW of all time. The fact he beat Aldo himself and did it in a way that left no doubt he's the better fighter only adds adds to that.
