Derrick Brunson is criminally underrated and unappreciated by fans, It’s sad because he’s a really great fighter and let’s not forget the Derrick is almost 40 years old and still does good in competition.

I moonlighted as an inspector for the NC commission the last few years on active duty and Derek was always at the small shows of a kid from his gym was on the card, held pads and everything, good dude and humble, I’d like to see him get that belt it’s his last good run right now

Didn’t know much of Brunson till his Shabayzan win and instantly became a fan. The mans ground and pound is absolutely relentless and I love seeing vets making mid career resurgence

People tend to forget just how good Brunson is. Dude's only loses have come from absolute killers/the top shelf of his division like Romero, Whitaker, Izzy, Silva, etc.

He's so underrated only losses came to whittaker former champ, izzy current champ, jacare who would have been champ but bizping ducked him, Romero who would have been champ if he made weight against rockhold and silva middleweight g.o.a.t he also arguably won that fight.

Blame Kevin Holland for his awful fight IQ, distance management and takedown defence. That fight was so fucking frustrating to watch, and Holland has only himself to blame for that. Dude wouldn't shut up either despite being down on the judges scorecards🤦♂️
