I was 14 when this show came out. This was before youtube. You couldn't just look up mma fights or old UFC fights. This show introduced me to this sport. Good shit Dana.

Dude I remember watching this on Bravo or Spike tv or some channel when it aired each week, not gonna lie it was a show I will always remember, the fighters in the house were the perfect guys, the coaches were perfect also and Dana was fantastic through the whole process, it was a true time to remember for MMA fans !

cause they where complaining about fighting before finale in the house. Even Koscheck and Griffin where complaining about, they where like I'm not gonna fight before the finale! What if I get hurt or injured! I want money if I have to fight before the finale. Only Leben was like I don't give a fuck, that's why we are here, where here to fight! Dana saw the tape of them complaining about it in the house. So that's why he was mad as fuck!

Let’s not forget though that as good as Diego was at this point, Koscheck hung in there for 3 rounds and imo narrowly won the second round solely on his wrestling ability . He came a long way after the show.

@Fecal Fritters The weird thing was everyone knew Kenny was much smaller than everyone but Diego somehow fooled everyone into thinking he was a 185er. For whatever reason Diego who is a true 155er doesn't look much smaller than Leben who has always fought at 185.

That is why Season 2 is my favorite season. The fighters were very professional. Although Matt Hughes was sort of mean he felt like the typical wrestling coach that we've all had. Also Rich Franklin being a former teacher was very professional.

Even on TUF1 I always like Koschek because of his PA wrestling background. I always knew he had it to be a title contender at least. Dedicated Wrestlers often can be developed into legit MMA Fighter's.

Still, IMO, the best season of TUF. So many good fighters came out of that season.

When I was young and watched this live, I thought Dana's "do you want to be a fighter" speech was awesome. Now that I'm grown up, I see why fighting without pay is an issue. I would be hesitant to put my body on the line without any compensation. That speech seems manipulative now.

The Sanchez vs Koschek fight was great. Their wrestlimg canceled each other out so it came down to the other fighting styles. Amazing fight.

Naw. Bonner was bigger and more skilled. And tough as fuck. Diego is tough too but I've never seen him talk half as much punishment as I've seen bonner take and still finish the fight

I really have to say how impressed I am, when I see this video, how impressive Dana as a human being is. This guy built up an empire by himself promoted and bring up the ufc so far it’s unbelievable when I see how “small” this all started and no so many people around the world watching and following the ufc and all the ppv’s ag fight etc. This man did a great job in what he did. He was no any1 sitting behind the scenes and trying to push the ufc to maximum but in front of camera and “acting” and living his dream and there he is a rich, successful business man. He earned it. We can say Dana White is an idol
