Brock was really never anything more than a sideshow attraction, someone to expand the ufc fan base. I am glad he is quiting before he got hurt, he does not belong in the cage with real fighters . It does take a great amount of courage to get in the cage & I have delvelop some respect for him as a man!

A champ who was so scared to fight lesnar fare and square....he took roids to fight lesnar...because he knew that without that he will be destroyed by brock....so overeem was just a average ufc fighter who feared brock lesnar

Overeem was so scared that he beat the piss out of juiced up Lesnar anyway lmao Brock is nothing without steroids and USADA won't let him come back, that's why he can't even fight in the ufc but he's allowed to do WWE. Overeem without roids is still a contender at heavyweight and could easily destroy a non juiced Brock

I know everybody points to Lesnar's surgery but the healthiest Lesnar would have lost this fight a million times over. Lesnar is used to bullcharging smaller opponents, Overeem stayed low in anticipation of that and played a game of chess by staying right outside of striking distance and picking him apart. Overeem has had a long career in MMA and isn't green to striking. Lesnar looked lost, even in the introductions he wasn't his cocky, alpha self. He knew that he had his hands full with this fight.

If you morons actually took the time to watch the video you would see a few things 1: with one hit alistair got a cut over his eye he fired back and for the most part got no respones. 2: brock was actually holding his ground very well in the beginning he was waiting for an opportune moment to take him down but obviously he ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT just charge (at that time) one of the deadliest strikers in the heavyweight division. 3: notice alistair (like the coward he is) kept going over and over for the body... You really think he was doing that by accident?... No he knew that was brocks weakest point and he exposed it... It is honestly sad that so many people hate the guy this much if you're gonna hate on someone hate them for real reasons... But then again these are the same people who bash brock for steroids all day long but suck jon jones asshole and make every excuse in the world for him.

Alistair Overeem won the K-1 tournament without a kickboxing backround, he was strictly a mixed martial artist. Alistair Overeem has very good grappling, in the Judo and Jiu Jitsu sense especially. He isn't one dimensional, he isn't a striker, he is a fighter and a great one at that. He has been outstruck and knocked out in MMA several times standing though, he's not this unbeatable guy on the feet, he does bad under pressure standing. This fight is so much more interesting than they make it.

I can't WAIT for the Nate Diaz vs. Cowboy Cerrone fight. Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Melvin Guillard, and Ben Henderson are all SHARKS as Rogan puts it. They're all the best they've ever been right now, and are all scary good. Then there's up and comers like Sam Stout, Joe Lauzon, Anthony Pettis, and fighters like Takanori Gomi, Clay Guida, and Gray Maynard who have been at the top and are still a threat. Add Gilbert Melendez, and Shinya Aoki and it can only get more interesting.

Dana's a genius he's set up the perfect fight for Brock against a guy with huge name recognition amongst fight fans who's been a champ in various fight orgs but stylistically won't have much to offer Brock. Once Brock beats him Dana can point out how UFC fighters are so much better than K1, Strikeforce, Dream etc. I've got Cerrone in the other fight, Nate will wanna keep in standing and the Cowboy's too good on his feet for Nate.

Overeem didnt retire Brock. Brock retired because he promised his wife and kids that he would have one or two more fights. I respect him for wanting to spend more time with his wife and kids.

I remember Dana White saying, not that long ago, that Overeem is not even top 10. So much for his expertise on the sport. And I really dislike the fact that the UFC promoted Overeem as british, just to get better ratings in the UK. The guy was born there but that's it. He's totally Dutch. He grew up there, he learned his fighting there and he carries the Dutch culture.

If there's one thing we know about Brock Lesnar, it's that he does not like getting hit in the face. Overeem LOVES hitting people in the face. It's just like what happened with Velasquez. I don't think Brock is fast enough for the Reem

Overeem was literally baptized in combat, he's been hanging with the best since he was 19. It would be one thing if he was getting old but he's younger than Brock Lesnar. I think Brock Lesnar is in over his head.

It sucks, Lesnar had so much momentum, then he lost to Cain, he had surgery, now he's coming back to essentially his toughest fight yet...If he loses (he probably will, BUT I HOPE HE WINS), his career in the UFC is going to be grim.

common people...overeem is a k-1 world champion,with mma titles,ranked #2 best heavyweight out there and most important...he's even bigger than brock...he isnt like anything brock has faced before...lesnar stands no chance in toe to toe and if they go to the ground i think overeem knows what to do...if he can stand on his feet after the fight he'll have my respect...r.i.p brock lesnar...

Tbh, Nate Diaz won, but prior to watching the fight I thought Donald got fucked up, but then I watched the fight... Donald held his ground nicely, I think it was pretty close and Nate won because he went so offensive in the first round. Great fight, no one got 'battered' imo.
