VNIMAL Let me do the math for you. 31 (Jan) + 28 (Feb) + 31 (Mar) + 30 (Apr) + 25 (May). 145/365*100=39.72 =~ 40%. So almost 40% of the year is past us, over 60% ahead of us. Meaning if we are done with half the year already according to your statement, over 20% of the year will be left of the year when the next half is done with. 20% is actually 1/5 of the year, which 2.4 months of the years. Trollolooll.

Man I feel bad for Barao he got his ass whooped, the face he made in the post fight interview was a man that was defeated. He may never come back from that, imagine what an ass whooping like that does to your confidence...

The look in his eyes right after he got cracked in the first round is a look I will never forget. He was looking at his coaches with that "help me" look, I just don't think he has ever experienced a loss like that.

On the plus side though, you never heard Barao blame an injury or problems in training camp or any of that shit. The man got defeated as soundly as any champion who's ever gotten their ass kicked, and what did he say? That he came out looking to do what he always does, and that TJ did what he set out to do...that and that he would be back. ...And I think I believe that Barao will be back from this. It's not his first pro loss ever, and probably won't be his last ever, but this will light a lake of fire underneath his ass.
@irishsteve209

I read up on Barao, he had a tough go of it growing up, his family was really dirt poor, sometimes they'd go without food, he got his ass kicked a lot by bigger kids until he started hanging out at a gym where the trainers took him under their wing and kept him fed and out of trouble.

Barao got caught drinking his own kool aid, believing his own hype. You MUST be confident in this game but his talk of being untouchable etc etc told me he felt overly confident. Gone was poor, hungry and humble Barao. But regardless of that, the look in Baraos eyes between 1st & 2nd rd was the starry eyes of a concussed man-so rounds 2-5 Barao was a shell of himself mentally, further preventing him from predicting the elusive movement of TJ-and as TJ never let up and continued to connect with flush head shots then entire fight Barao could not recover. IMO Look out for Barao II, as take out that 1st rd knock down and he would've probly put his hands on TJ much much more
@TheHm3
@TheHm3 10 жыл бұрын
He felt the madness of greatness a bit too early. But it's kinda hard not feeling it when your boss is calling you the #1 P4P fighter in the world. Not many people can handle that and Barao let it go into his head. I'm sure he was the #1 P4P fighter, but the madness of greatness got to him and he disappointed. With that said, I didn't give TJ ANY chance of winning. None, I thought he'd get murdered Round 1. But WOWWWW, INCREDIBLE, AMAZING JOB! The single best performance I've seen in a WHILE and against the P4P Kingpin! WOW! TJ is the man!

go back and watch this one again, it seriously could be the greatest performance in the history of the ufc. to put on a clinic against a barao level guy pretty much says it all. i really cant think of an equal to this in boxing or any other combat sport. we'll see how barao comes back from it. you really cant blame him but he was broke by the 2nd round, and a guy of his ability should never be broken mentally like that, ever. i honestly think he will pass on the immediate rematch. there's no way his confidence will be where it needs to be without a couple of dominating wins, which he will most certainly put together.

Had Barao been eating ice cream all training camp or what? No disrespect to TJ as he really brought it but Barao didn't look nearly as fast or explosive as he use to. Well, a celebration is in order, we got a new champ that speaks american and gave some cash in pocket! -Wodd

Did you miss the part where he was almost ko'd in the opening round? When someone gets caught like that, a lot of the time, the fighter doesnt fully recover

mathias strømmen lol are you serious? Barao was 34-1 coming into the fight. I'm pretty sure the majority of the fights were outside of Brazil

Kevin Hopkins No they weren't LOL the first 24 of his fights were ALL in brazil fighting nobodies. Only 1 of the 24 brazilian fighters has a wiki page.

Barao's got some stuff he needs to work on. I feel this was the best thing that could have happened to him. We learn little from victory but much from defeat.

I don't know if the word AMAZING is enough to describe TJ's performance and how this fight was fucking awesome! It was so awesome I praised him on twitter. And I am officially a new fan of his. --I don't think Joe exaggerates too much when he says the best performance of his life. I'm not sure I would say the same thing because Anderson Silva and a lot of others had amazing performances. DC's performances are great too. And plenty of other great fighters. I really wanted Barao to lose so I rooted for TJ all the way and he looked beast in his highlights, and I really couldn't of asked for a better performance then what TJ gave that night. I yelled in excitement when he knocked him down, and the epicness just continued! What a night! UFC 173 was.. fuckin' awesome. DC and Lawler! yeh!

Fucking awesome job done by T J Dillashaw, he has got some skills and some balls for taking the fight to KO even though it was already in the bag. This guy has the potential to be a legend. Damn good job sir.
