Even with Johnny's explanation, I think a lot of people are still missing the point about the "No pics with the belt" thing. He said he had no problem with her holding it, just not in the picture. He has talked about this before. He has no problem letting people look at the belt or even touch it but putting the belt on your waist or shoulder is an act that is directly associated with ownership or possession. When someone wins the belt, the first thing they do is put it around their waist and in most photos or events they hold it on their shoulder. That is what he does not want people to do in pictures. If someone does that and takes a picture they are literally trying to imitate an accomplishment that they did not earn. If they truly just want to take a picture with the champ/belt, then they don't need to hold it for the picture. Wanting to wear it in the picture implies (whether intended or not) that they want more than just a picture with the belt. Do you think Jones would let Cormier put the belt on his shoulder and take a pic? If an Olympian let me look at his gold medal, I wouldn't take a pic with it around my neck, I think that would be disrespectful. It's one thing to admire the belt, it's a whole different thing to wear it.

All the arguments about him not letting her hold the belt is ridiculous. 1st she not a kid she a grown woman if you want a belt go in there and get it yourself. . I didn't find it offensive at all. Although I might be biased because I am a MMA champion my self in the lower tiers but, a fight is a fight training camp is training camp no matter what tier of fighting your on. If you worked hard to get it you have to work twice as hard to keep it.. hell people he said you can hold it but, just don't take a picture with it.. be respectful and respect his wishes.. nothing to it.
