IMO Johnny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler are two of the baddest fighters in the UFC period, and tare both great examples of modern day MMA fighters. What I mean by that is that they're both very well rounded in every aspect of the game; they've got it all. While both obviously are very athletic, both of them also possess certain qualities that make them so hard to beat, such as extreme tenacity, resilience, fearlessness, and definitely confidence. Even with Johnny's explanation, I think a lot of people are still missing the point about the "No pics with the belt" thing. He said he had no problem with her holding it, just not in the picture. He has talked about this before. He has no problem letting people look at the belt or even touch it but putting the belt on your waist or shoulder is an act that is directly associated with ownership or possession. When someone wins the belt, the first thing they do is put it around their waist and in most photos or events they hold it on their shoulder. That is what he does not want people to do in pictures. If someone does that and takes a picture they are literally trying to imitate an accomplishment that they did not earn. If they truly just want to take a picture with the champ/belt, then they don't need to hold it for the picture. Wanting to wear it in the picture implies (whether intended or not) that they want more than just a picture with the belt. Do you think Jones would let Cormier put the belt on his shoulder and take a pic? If an Olympian let me look at his gold medal, I wouldn't take a pic with it around my neck, I think that would be disrespectful. It's one thing to admire the belt, it's a whole different thing to wear it.
