Cain isn't Mexican... Mexican is a nationality. There's no such thing as "Mexican blood." The USA is the country that provided him with the opportunity to become what he is today. It's the place where he was born and raised. Werdum said it perfectly, "Cain is an American who thinks he's Mexican."

Eddie should have came down to Mexico at least a week ago. He's coming from Boca which is at sea level to Mexico City which is well above it. I think this decision will hurt him in the fight cardiovascular wise.

Well tbh, Cain has trouble speaking in English and Spanish , sometimes when he speaks it sounds like he knows what he wants to say but can't find the way to voice the words correctly. But that's just the way he is.People have mentioned in other comments that Werdum spent a lot of time living in Spain, so it's no suprise to me why he speaks a much more fluent,proper Spanish dialect than Cain

I think if Cain wants to represent Mexico it´s great but I guess some people can´t accept that he´s not representing some other country if Cain wasn´t the champ he would be just another Mexican. Let me be the first to admit it; yes I was one of those people who didn't get the idea of women's MMA being a part of UFC, heck I never watched invicta or any other organizations with women division. But just like any prejudice and discrimination, often my preconception was simply the result of ignorance. I now do feel excited to see these female fighters, and further more I appriciate how UFC are portraying them as legit fighters and not to promote them in any exploitive way.

I'm a huge Cain Velasquez fan as many of us Mexican, Mexican-American are, but most of you are underestimating Werdum who is by no stretch of the imagination a slouch. I just hope Cain took this fight serious and doesn't underestimate him. If Werdum could submit a legend like Fedore he can certainly beat Cain as well.
