On Episode 1 of UFC 190 Embedded, dominant bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey chases perfection in the gym and makes the media rounds in Rio de Janeiro. Across the nation in Natal, title challenger Bethe Correia gets in some beach training and beauty treatments ahead of her home-country bout. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the championship grudge match at UFC 190: Rousey vs. Correia, taking place Saturday, August 1 on Pay-Per-View.

Bethe has beaten 3 fighters in the UFC with a combined 1-7 UFC record. 2 of the 3 are out of the promotion and the other is about to be after losing last weekend. She beat two of the three by decision. None of them were even close to being ranked. This is honestly the most undeserving title contender in the history of the UFC. This main event is a complete joke.

Joel Martinez My thoughts exactly. Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be the same thing. She destroyed Esparza for the belt and looks like she will run through everybody in the future. Woman's UFC still has a ways to go before it's competitive. Just sucks that Jedrzejczyk and Might Mouse won't get the attention like Rousey even though Mighty Mouse has been around longer and just as dominate if not more :/

Ronda's movements are so slick, like her transitions from throws into side control, mount and straight submissions etc. Plus she's so quick. Love watching her fight, just so highly impressive.

Optic Swan Hardcore fans have long felt that the UFC underpays its fighters. Much of a fighter's income was cobbled together from outside sponsors that were displayed on their shorts, T-shirts, and banners. The Reebok deal took all of those sponsors away from the fighters and in many cases did not compensate the fighters at the same level as their previous sponsors giving the fighters a de facto pay cut. "Stitch" Duran was a 14 year veteran of the sport and when he was interviewed about how the deal affected him, he honestly answered that his pay, and the pay of the cutmen who also had outside sponsors was going to significantly drop. The day after the interview he was unceremoniously fired for being honest about the paycut that the deal was forcing on him and his fellow cutmen. The fans are upset because we support the fighters, not the greedy multimillionaire UFC brass that doesn't risk their health like the fighters do. Another case of corporate greed and profits going to the people at the top because of the exploitation of those on the bottom. Fuck the UFC, fuck Reebok.

In this very same room where Ronda is sparring at Gracie Humaitá the MMA was born is the mid to late 80´s. Gracie Humaitá is where Rickson Gracie taught jiu-jitsu in the 80´s. That´s where the legendary fight between Royler Gracie and Eugenio Tadeu happened to decide which martial art, luta livre (free style) or jiu jitsu, was the most efficient one.
