I don't think it is up to the UFC, it is the USADA, they overrule the UFC. Why would the UFC ever not allow it? DC was gonna sign a form so the UFC would not be held responsible for anything. The USADA would never allow it though, that is just how it is.

Of course UFC is at its peak and having Jones take the belt and test negative again would have been a disaster. If it was the commission it would be a whole different story.

no you have to look at the context of the situation. this is 3 days before the biggest ufc event to ever go down in history. and he got pulled for a banned substance which is a stupid reason to miss a fight, dc had a legitimate injury. you can't compare those scenarios.

Thing is USADA was slow to release this test specially considering this was a test during off season. Also the thing he got poped for is something you can find in common Muscle Pharm products unlike cases of Cowboy Oliveira who got popped for designer steroids. Jones also trained for months at before their last scheduled bout. He also lost hundreds of thousands of potential paycheck and payperview money.

Jones lost the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. He has been given opportunity after opportunity and he still messes up. He wrapped his Rolls Royce around a pole and got a DUI. You would think that would be a wake up call to stay on the straight and narrow. Nope. Down the road he tests positive for cocaine. Goes to rehab for a day and leaves. Months later, he runs a red light, crashes into a car driven by a pregnant woman, and flees the scene. Still not a wakeup call for him. Now he tests positive for PEDs. If there is one consistent thing that Jones does, it is fucking up. When Jones' bloodwork from the positive cocaine test became available, he had an abnormally low testosterone to epitestosterone level. Many people were saying back then that he was on PEDs.
