Perhaps. But I want to see guys fight. One dude backpedaling while the other chases him around doesn't look like a fight to me. I counted in the fourth round, he ran about 4 laps in the first minute. Then with about 40 seconds left he literally backpedaled and avoided fighting at all. Such a disappointing fight if you ask me. Everyone watching the fight at my house felt the same way.

I don't understand why people hate Cormier so much. He got boo'd when he took Silva down, but then the crowd cheered when Brock wrestled Mark Hunt. Fucking hypocrites. People got excited when they found out Silva was Cormiers new opponent, and then boo'd when Daniel Cormier took him down. Like wtf, HE'S AN OLYMPIC WRESTLER! What did you think you were going to see??? Cormier is a great Champion. One that other Champions should model themselves after. He's a great guy inside & outside of the cage.

one of the worst title reigns in UFC history, Barely wins the title after pretty much being beat up by Holm, get wrecked in first title defense on the biggest UFC show.
@ca13crew8 жыл бұрын
To be be fair to Miesha they way she won the title was ridiculous, most fighters, male or female, wouldn't have been able to pull out the win while being down on the scorecard in the 5th round the way she did
@NaPaLmBoMbZzZ8 жыл бұрын
+Michael Cano There's a difference, Luke Rockhold dominated the champion to win his title, and so did Holly Holm, Miesha Tate beat Holm but was literally down one every judges scorecard, than gets whooped by Nunez, Luke Rockhold loss is more similar to what happened to Aldo he got caught with a hard punch, it wasn't pure domination it was a one punch KO.
@NaPaLmBoMbZzZ8 жыл бұрын
+Joe Toomey I'm not gonna take anything away from how hard it is to dig deep when you're down in a fight to win a championship in the last round, Tate is a gamer I give her credit for her win. I just think that nothing about her title win spoke to her being dominate, and then she just starched by Nunez in a few minutes just really surprising her title reign has just become another footnote in history. At least Holy Holm can say I'm the only person to defeat Ronda Rousey although her reign was weak as well.
@ca13crew8 жыл бұрын
True, if Holm gets through Shevchenko I think she'll get a shot at Nunez's title, n the winner of that will face the returning Ronda. It'll be a while till Miesha gets another title shot

Jose Aldo is a boss, but he is also his own worst enemy. Speaking English only endures him more to the UFC brass, the fans, and the press. Totally agree. Every fight had at least one big name fighter in it, and there were multiple bouts that had rankings/title implications. However, there were no great moments, and there weren't really any super delicious match-ups. None of the fights just got me tingly when they were announced the way, say, fights like Cruz V Dilashaw, Lawler V Brown or Henderson V Shogun did in the past. Basically they tried to stack the card with names more than they tried to stack it with fights.
@OscarGarcia-xh7mi8 жыл бұрын
Richard Harrow Personally, I thought the fight pass prelims were better than the prelims and even the main card... Miller went out there TKO'd Gomi inside 1 minute and 30 seconds and then Mousasi KO'd Santos in the 1st round and Lauzon went out there and destroyed Sanchez in the 1st round too. The fight pass prelims were outstanding. It went downhill from there though.

Yes I love ground and pound. Silva's BBJ butterfly guard was really good and DC was having a fit trying to do any real damage from on top so crowd was getting restless and booing. I thought Brock had a much better fight vs Hunt and he got in some good damage from on top.

They love their people so much and try to encourage them so much after every fight in the post fight interviews with Rogan. Have you heard in the news what the Brazilian govt is doing to its own people to prepare for the Olympics? Lots of people in the ghettos there dream about getting out.

I can understand why people dislike Conor but come on bro stop talking bullshit. Old and washed up after losing 1 fight? Nate Diaz has lost 10 fights and is over 3 years older than Conor so what does that make him? Conor has 17 KOs in 19 fights I think it wasn't all luck with Aldo but I do agree catching Aldo with a shot like that so early was somewhat lucky. I'm grateful Amanda tried to reach out in English, but the one question that she answered in Portuguese seemed so much more relaxed and obviously better for her. I know she won't learn if she doesn't practice, but damn, this is her big night and I got the feeling that the whole f'ing time she was just thinking, "WTF am I answering these questions when I could be enjoying my title with people who love me!" I think this new found fame is going to be hard on her while she's in the States. Hopefully she get's to spend some time in Brazil where it's a lot easier to celebrate it. I am way happy she won.

Brock is a monster but I can't lie the day he learns how to stand and strike WOW it will be crazy but he will never loose that stiff shit and he will never be a real threat pass 2 rounds he comes on strong then he becomes a huge wet noodle, but Dana did good with this one even tho the Jon issue I was satisfied bring on UFC 202

Yeah, people really have to think, 'when did lesnar actually agree to fight' from there how much time did he have to train. He went back to what he knows best which was wrestling and ground n pound. I hate when people call that 'boring' it isn't to someone who's actually wrestled before and knows how difficult that is. Lesnar twice took hunt down to full mount. I liked the card, sure it could have been better if JBJ and the Diaz fights didnt get well ruined. but overall for having so many different fill ins it was good.

I've never cheered for Silva so hard. The whole place wanted to see a fight and Silva tried as hard as he could do deliver something remotely close to entertaining and Cormier wouldn't let it happen.I've always said, it takes 2 fighters willing to fight to make a fight entertaining because in the end, this is entertainment or else why the hell would anyone watch if it wasn't entertaining. And if you are too scared to fight, don't put yourself in middle of a fight with millions watching if you don't want to fight. Garbage.

I agree that UFC 200 didn't live up to expectations buts that's what happens when you lose the main event and it gets replaced by a bad matchup. On paper everyone should have known Brock and Cormier only had one way to win yet everyone prayed for the one punch KO by Hunt and Silva but instead you got 30 minutes of lay and pray. I was impressed by Nunez and Velasquez but it's clear the true main event was Aldo v Edgar 2.

He's grown more modest and respectable with age, people like to call him on his WWE stuff and say he's bad for the sport but he leaves his WWE baggage at the MMA door. He even said 'I don't have to sell this , it's fighting people" or something of that nature. I think if he just has fun with this and doesn't worry about titles or getting to caught up in it all he can really make a legitimate stand and be a top 5 contender if not the champion again.

It's crazy that Anderson Silva could get dominated on the ground but still come out the winner (not regarding the fight decision, but in opinion and respect). I already thought he was the GOAT, but him taking the fight on 2 days notice, against a guy who might be the toughest fight for him in the entire UFC, made me like him even more. He's a true martial artist, who wanted to test himself. He didnt care about his reputation or the fear of getting dominated. MUCH RESPECT.
@playthisclip8 жыл бұрын
Might seem obvious but it's often forgot; being allround or well versed in all aspects of the fighting game, I think is key to remain champion for a long time. Gone are the days where you can survive on just throwing bombs or keeping a guy on the mat for 25mins. Exeptions always exist but look at Holly, Tate, JDS, the list goes on and yeah until proven that he has worked extensively on mat techniques, even Conor!
