" If someone's saying they're the baddest bad-ass in the room , I believe that I'll be the first one to step up and beg to differ . " ---Nate Diaz

Nate is a straight legend. This is the fight game ,and he is a 100% bonified proven competitor! He may not be flashy or out spoken , but that's all bullshit anyway. Most fighters do that at the pressers and stfu in the ring. He does not say hardly shit at pressers , but talks his ass off in that octagon! When it counts. Man to man he is the true definition of a fighter, a throw back to the roman empire days. Kill or be killed! We need a whole roster of guys like the Diaz brothers. Much respect

The ONLY way Conor wins is by staying on his feet and/or knocking Nate out. Not likely. Nate can take a ton of punches and survive. When Nate gets him on the ground again, it's all over.
@bjj_legend21748 жыл бұрын
+Burt Wonderstone yeah he's got an iron chin , but coner is a pressure fighter and Nate isn't use to that , Nate is a cardio fighter he can go the distance in order for the knockout he's very patient , so if his opponents can't threaten him with anything he will do that. however conner relies on his pressure and conter punching witch is exactly what's nate weaknesses is , conners counter 1, 2 was getting through, conner just gassed and had nothing left. they both cancel out each others game it can go anyway but dont write out mcgregor just because nate beat him once.
@burtwonderstone53158 жыл бұрын
I definitely won't write out Mcgregor. He does apply pressure and power. I hope for his sake that he doesn't gas out again. I know what that feels like. There's NOTHING you can do once you've crossed that threshold. It zaps the life out of you.
@jcslide238 жыл бұрын
+Bjj _Legend yeah but there are things that won't change from the last fight to this one. Nate has a reach advantage, iron chin, 10+ years of BJJ which he's a blackbelt in his boxing is probably superior to Connors considering that he trains with Andre ward which at the moment is best of the best in boxing on top of a full camp preparing specifically for Connor were talking months of preparing now as opposed to 10 days notice with no sparring involved idk if Connor knows what he's getting into with this rematch it'll be a good one tho

I think it is so stupid how McGregor stated that Diaz got lucky in their fight. The guy took the fight on 11 days notice and won and somehow he got lucky. If anyone was lucky it was McGregor he got handed a guy who was out of shape and had no time to train. Also with a fight of the magnitude of their first fight Diaz spent alot of time doing media so he probably spent little to no time in the gym training. Yet he still went out there and won the fight. McGregor is bragging about how he "butchered" Diaz on the feet but that doesn't matter cause he still lost the fight.

he got caught by the one two because he was gassed. Conor was not there for diaz's strikes in the first round due to his footwork/movement. Why Mcrgregor is amazing: 1. Self made a image, that everyone around the world follows (I am mexican) 2. Dominated, let me say that again, DOMINATED the 145 division 3. He could of stayed in a safe spot but moved up 2 weight classes, who the fuck does that? 2 fucking weight classes? 4. He talks a lot but ca back everything up Why Díaz is amazing: 1. Stockton Slap 2. Him and his brother are the realest mother fuckers out there, they don't take shit from anyone, not from Dana, not even from the UFC 3. Sickest boxing skills in the UFC along with being a jiu jitsu black belt. 4.Nate saw an opportunity and grabbed it, people say he is slow, I see a very smart guy turning his career around instantly

Who's talking about the welterweight title? Woodley's gonna have his hands full with Wonderboy who's probably the best striker in the whole UFC. #AndNew As far as Conor goes, I think he probably would've beat RDA and he would've been the first ever FTW and LW champion and the first to hold two titles at once. I wasn't meant to be though... I think Conor needed some humbling and life made him eat some humble pie when he got choked the fuck out by Nate. This time around I think Conor's gonna beat Nate, whether it's by TKO or decision... but I definitely think there will be a rubber match between them somewhere down the road.

+elNino I'm a fan of Nate, but I hate when people try to make that point. He's an expert cardio athlete. A couple weeks of relaxing and a few drinks doesn't set you back to being a couch potato. In fact a few weeks of can actually be beneficial for healing purposes. He still had top level cardio in the first fight. The real factor was the lack of sparring for a specific striker. It would be stupid to have too much confidence in either fighter. Anything can happen in a fight, but this should be a fun one.

I'm not gonna pick sides or say one person sucks. The only thing that I can say is that Conor wasn't ready for that fight. He gained like 20 pounds of fat to fight and it sapped his cardio. Meanwhile at that weight nick was training for a triathlon... So it would be interesting to see them actually be prepared. Can't wait!
@DevJam21138 жыл бұрын
...Nate was partying on a boat taking tequila shots when he was called to step in. Him and his bro are always staying in shape and doing triathlons, they've been doing them for almost as long as they have been fighting. And Connor had months to prepare and went through a fight camp for 196. He was ready for a fight (more so than Nate); he just lost. So don't make it sound like Connor wasn't prepared, he may have been poorly prepared but he was prepared.
@tutu75648 жыл бұрын
+Devon Howard he was prepared for a fight at 150 not 170. Jumping up that much weight hinders your cardio and is really unhealthy in general. As a person who's done wrestling and other forms of MMA I know what it feels like fluctuating weight, but not to that extreme. I'm not saying he wasn't training or anything but his cardio was practically non-existent with that jump in weight.
@DevJam21138 жыл бұрын
Sure, I'm just saying he was prepared. Ill prepared, but prepared. No one made him put on 20 pounds of fat but him. He could've weighed as light as 155 and be within welter weight range. For the record I agree his weight gaining choices/preparation/training hindered his cardio and he obviously wasn't able to sustain his high output as long as normal. I'm just curious to see if McG decides to change his fight plan for Diaz
@tutu75648 жыл бұрын
+Devon Howard ya re-reading your comment I now understand what you were saying in a sense. He was mentally prepared thinking he was gonna win like always. Physically though he wasn't. I agree that Conor thought he was going to win... Which I can say was stupid on his part.
@ohgodwhy8 жыл бұрын
I don't think he'll change his plan much. He was winning that first round pretty well but he definitely got gassed as the fight went on. If he's gotten fitter and increased his punching power, I think McGregor should get the win but either way it's going to be a great fight.

Lol, they're boxing isn't even that great either. Nate throws some of the most unorthodox punches i've seen in my life. His boxing is anything but pretty.

The excitement in Joe Rogan's voice when Connor is about to tap is epic lol

If you have been watching ufc for a while now, you can clearly see the attitude shift that Conor has had from his previous fights compared to this upcoming fight. His game plan is always to trash talk and hopefully get into the opponents head and so during fight night his opponents make irrational choices due to the hatred he feels for Conor. That's where Conor capitalizes and takes care of business. He is an excellent fighter with precision and power, to say that he isn't quality would just be plain wrong. After losing at 196, all of his press conferences show him confident but you can tell he is holding his tongue back compared to his usual pre fight rituals. Sure, he occasionally throws in a few insults but compared to before? not even close. He realized that he got beat and so he understands that he can't act in such a way.

jigyoda true, only loss in his UFC career tho
@dejesus328 жыл бұрын
Nope. The reason why he isn't talking as much shit is because Nate also owned all the shit talking sessions before the last fight. He can't out shit talk Nate. He knows it's pointless to try to get in his head. He has to show up and get the job done...which is going to be difficult for him without the mental advantage.
@ttaattssuuyyaa778 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say he owned necessarily, Nate just never cared about what Conor had to say about him.

Conor couldn't get in his head? True. Nate owned all the shit talking sessions? False. Nate struggles to utter complex sentences, he doesn't remotely have the verbal dexterity and inventiveness that Conor has. Conor isn’t talking shit because he lost. Period. Only an idiot would go back to that kind of bravado against a guy who just beat him.

looking back at this, i find it really hilarious that diaz was so proud and hyped about the fact that he choked out a 145 division guy. KNOWING that HE himself thought that conor only rose up to the ranks coz conor fought smaller guys. psshhhhh his win over mcgregor is probably the only highlight of his career coz he kept repeating over and over again how he choked out mcgregor lol much to his disappointment, during their 2nd fight, he got dropped.....THREE times by a 145er lol

Wot? Connor is to big for 145, he’s a natural 155lb guy, just like Nate is. Nate is only barely bigger than him.

lol conor walks around only a few pounds lighter than diaz I don’t wanna hear that bullshit.

The amount of bandwagons in here is too damn high. And also all of the Diaz brothers fanboys finally came out from underneath their Stockton rock once they knew it would be safe to come out and talk shit. None of these people were talking about McGregor before the fight but now they are the biggest Nate Diaz supporters.

Nate didn't get lucky. He's just that good. And also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Nate have 11 days to prepare for this fight? That shows just how badass he is. Can't wait for the trilogy. It's gonna happen.
@stipocic1974 жыл бұрын
Conor doesn't deserve a trilogy nate beat him twice And yes he had 11 days to prepare
