Lol when you get dropped... what... five times? Land two punches in two rounds and have your takedown attempts casually shaken off by a guy you called the easiest fight in the division, you'd better pay the man some damn credit afterwords. There's no room to cry luck. It was completely one sided.

@chubakaj38697 жыл бұрын
Wtf u talking about he couldnt even get close to conor. He got rocked like 5 times that fight. Just too accurate
@Azariah1977 жыл бұрын
chubaka J That's because he kept going back to boxing range, effectively. And like DARK MOON said, he could have used his movement completely differently. To you point, though, he probably wasn't all there after getting tagged the first couple of times. It's all hindsight speculation at this point but the only thing objective is that Eddie didn't fight like he needed to and how he planned to.
@Kikuyo27 жыл бұрын
That, and his win over RDA with boxing (with a new boxing coach) made him a bit overconfident with his boxing. Kinda similar to Ronda's last loss. How they hyped her boxing skills LOL.

He didn't follow the game plan at all. You think Mark Henry told him to get into a boxing match with Conor McGregor? The game plan was obviously to wrestle and slow him down with leg kicks, neither of which he ever even really attempted to do. All respect to Conor and I like Alvarez, but Eddie fought one of the dumbest fights I've seen in a long time.
@jatinsharma-ri5yn7 жыл бұрын
I saw them shit talking between the fight and then I knew Eddie's getting distracted and he got rocked. Conor taunts further and the crowd behind him, you keep losing confidence.
@WholesaleJewelleryAustralia7 жыл бұрын
Namu Did you even watch the fight??? Go to the break after the first round and listen to his corner. There was at points where Alvarez even fainted a take down then tried to go up and Conor was already out of there, came back and hit him with a left. He DID shoot a couple times, Conor defended them. When Edie shot the jab, his tried to go down, conor counterd perfectly with a left twice. He's just too sharp

@hyroproto43647 жыл бұрын
Albert Wesker > he isn't. He got raped by RDA remember? @ 170 tho, he is a lot tougher for Connor. Some fighters have more problems with one fighter. Ex- Ali always found it hard against Fracier & Norton. But both got destroyed by Forman & Ali beat Forman. Seems like Connor finds Nate, the most difficult fighter to dominate. That doesn't mean that Nate is the best, only that he is the best for Connor

Respect Eddie, you were the champ and achieved something most blokes could only wish for, fair play. Win or lose anyone good enough to enter the octagon has my respect.

Humble in defeat, hats off to Eddie. Phenomenal fight!

Most MMA fighters are shitty boxers and kickers. You would think they would learn by know. Conor is a student of martial arts. He takes his time to perfect everything, instead of rushing off to spar and hit bags. You can tell with his movement training. I was taught that if you can throw a punch or a kick 'slowly' and perfectly in training, focusing on the movements, without losing balance then you can throw that punch or kick fast and precisely. How slow you can do it = how fast you can do it. Most mma gyms dont do that, only true martial arts/karate gyms. Most mma gyms its about getting in, learning and bashing each other in gym wars to toughen each other up. That's where Conor separates himself...

I feel the amount of pressure put on Eddie. He had the crowd booing him and Conor talking made smack about him. I feel like it really impacted Eddie's composure.

Much respect to eddie, probably the toughest thing to do in this sport is to admit defeat, especially to someone like Conor. Great win by Conor, great day for UFC fans. That Tyron Woodley-Stephen Thompson 4th round was absolutely amazing though, no idea how Wonderboy survived that onslaught

The only champion in the UFC that has ever lost their belt and came back to reclaim it is Cain Velasquez. Highly unlikely Eddie will be champ again.
