What gets me is how completely unaffected she is. She wasn't impressed by JJ at all. She's talking about it like it was easy work, and now she can go back to some peace and quite, and chill for a bit.

"You can choose whatever thoughts you want". Not sure if I've ever felt better for a fighter. She worked so hard for it mentally and physically. This is the woman young girls/people should be looking up to. She has such a tough story, she overcame it and when she became champ she said "I'm just a normal person". I really hope the UFC markets her and she stays champ for a long time

She walked out to _Supersonic_ by Oasis. And I was like “No waaaay! I fucking love this song! I didn’t think I could like Rose even more than I already did but this is the icing on the cake!” And then, in this interview, she says that it wasn’t even her correct walk out song, and proceeds to completely trash the song haha. “Worst song ever.” 😭💔 She just crushed my soul. That walk out song was one of my highlights of the night haha. It actually has a very fitting lyric that fits in with Rose’s mantra pretty well: *“I need to be myselffff / I can’t be no one elseeee”*

I can't think of a better woman boxer in mma than Rose. Before people point out Holly Holm, actually go back and look at her boxing fights closely. If you have some understanding of skillful boxing you won't be impressed. Same goes for Heather Hardy. Rose just seems to 'get it'. Her rhythm and movement both offensively and defensively are very fluid and she throws correctly.

I'm starting to think that, too. That lunging left hook she used to finish the fight looks extremely difficult to setup, let alone execute. And she landed it cleanly. And there was a moment in the fight where she effortlessly slipped and countered one of Joanna's punches. Add to that, she mixes up her boxing with so many other disciplines and variables. It's an insane amount of skills to integrate together. Trevor Wittman must be one hell of a teacher; and Rose, one hell of a student.

The fact that her real walkout song was Sweet Freedom by Michael MacDonald makes her even more unique & awesome! She's the kind of leader society needs now. Brad Jardine - That Oasis song is one of my favourite songs. So much better than the song she was supposed to walkout to haha. I’m gutted that she trashed the song so hard in this interview. I thought it was an amazing walkout song. I was like no waaaaay!
