DC is fighting too soon, too. His hand is still healing from the last fight. The UFC desperately needed a title fight worthy of MSG and this is what we're getting. It's a fight easy enough for DC to accept and big enough that Lewis can't say no, plus dramatic enough for the fans. So in that sense it's perfect. But yeah for the sake of DC and Lewis on a human level, I wish this was happening with both of them at 100%

Better soon than late for lewis who gets out of shape fast, he has lost a lot of weight lately. Dc is always training anyway, I think it will go about 3-4 rounds.

That said, Derrick has that IF factor. IF he lands that right hand clean, it's bedtime, no matter who's on the other end. This is very similar to Conor v Khabib actually. Everyone knew going in that Conor just needed to catch him coming in, and when he didn't, he payed the price. Same thing here.

Weidman hasn't really won much lately. He submitted an undersized Kelvin who almost knocked him out. Every time he took Mousasi down he got right back up. Don't see him being able to do anything to Jacare on the ground and Jacare has more power jn his strikes. I also have Brunson starching Adesanya.

Seems highly unlikely given the records of both fighters. Twood a highly explosive fighter, who hits probably harder than any other ww. But he has tendencies of gassing after two rounds, if he plays that game. Covington a stamina machine that really is known for relentless pressure but probably not the most dangerous hands in the game. Last 8 of his wins has gone to atleast round 3. Not saying it's impossible, but I find it highly unlikely that he does it within 2 rounds.

There were literally zero kicks involved in the sparring you are referencing. Night and day. It's okay to be an amateur, and watch fights without knowing what you're looking at, but at least be humble enough not to comment as if you do.

Derrick Lewis is looking BIG, like bigger than usual. He's really putting a lot of muscle on it looks like from more than 30 minutes of workouts a day. What a great fighter, no matter the outcome of the fight he's also just a funny dude, it's great he's getting a title shot

Michael Mas Same, but I’m not sure he is ready for a wrestler yet. We need to watch him KO a few more guys standing up before he gets the Conor treatment. His striking is very fun to watch!

I always feel for the sparring partners of the big ufc stars like DC. Realize their job is to prep the fighters for big fights but they take serious ass kickings while getting no encouragement. Part of the game but damn i hope they get paid well cuz its a helluva gig!
