MASRR I agree that 3 same punch was dumb. He went from looking absolutely perfect against Cruz to sh*t to TJ. It has to be emotion.

I like that Cody seems more humble now. I think he had a lot of emotional baggage and he's finally starting to move on now that he has a son and all. That sort of thing will put a lot into perspective.

@@wq198mnr This is more accurate tbh. A child does not change people the way the op is referring.
@HulkVahkiin6 жыл бұрын
Two severe losses will affect a fighter more than having a child. Having a child is natutal in a sense , so is losing, but the severity in the latter is more deep in certain aspects.
@wq198mnr6 жыл бұрын
HulkVahkiin lol, I know man. Conor had a kid then fought Floyd? Did Conor change at all? Nope. Cody got humbled by TJ twice, literally Cody’s worst nightmare. The first fight he caught TJ so he felt good and his back was hurt so he chalked it up to TJ was saved by the bell and his back was injured. In the rematch though... that’s when Cody was humbled
@highonnymphetamine61796 жыл бұрын
@@HulkVahkiin With all due respect you are wrong. Having a child CAN change people a lot. It doesn't always, I know. Of course it was also about losing two big fights though. Their are people who get humbled by that sort of thing and there are people who don't. Conors head is too big and he's too into fame/money to be humbled.

Cody is a top fighter but if he hasn’t tightened up minor mistakes guys at the top will hit him . Proven with tj they saw the openings as he had movement that became exploitable. Tj will have fully understood his movement because both him and his coach knew Cody intimately. He is also an emotional fighter and I know first hand that being emotional in the ring/ cage makes you either trigger happy or too apprehensive . I lost almost all my boxing bouts to my own fault of not being in the right mindset. On his best days he is astounding - look at him against Cruz he was razor sharp and was a great fight . I think as someone said above he should be trained from a better gym I think in a similiar way about Darren till. He has the magic too but yet again such an emotional fighter and he could be amazing if he sorted out his style and strengthened his weaknesses.
