On Episode 5 of UFC 241 Embedded, heavyweight Stipe Miocic counsels his coach post wine-glass-injury. At fight week photo sessions, heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier reveals a superstitious side, middleweight Yoel Romero does pushups, and welterweight Nate Diaz drapes himself in a flag. Cormier and Miocic plus Diaz and Anthony Pettis attend open workouts, where Cormier’s son emcees and Diaz lights up the crowd by lighting up. UFC 241 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the heavyweight title rematch taking place Saturday, August 17th on Pay-Per-View.

Can we get a like for the UFC for the amount of effort and hype they're putting in into the build up to these shows recently? each event is becoming almost a trilogy, we see what they athletes are going through and the work rather than just the 15 minutes in the octagon. UFC is becoming huge, what a time to be alive for all of this.

Look, I'm a Diaz fan, but if you listen to his early octagon interviews (like when he won the ultimate fighter, around that time) he definitely speaks more clearly, quicker, and elucidates words more. I'm not a doctor, but it definitely wouldn't shock me if he's had TBI or concussions throughout his career. It's very sad.

ALWAYS has been.👍 Anyone that "truly" knows fighting and/or has fought and been hit and bloodied even if it's a street fight/bar fight (I say seven times or more, that's enough to know what it's like IMO) etc etc knows Nate has been a "take no prisoner" kind of fighter from day one. If they disagree they are either #1- Flat out lying or #2- Just Plain Stupid. When one can keep calm and collected tasting their own blood from a busted nose and/or half way closed eye and still throw down with no fear. Everyone likes to think they could or can (I have. I know.) but it is a VERY VERY small percentage of folks that can actually do that. That is nothing but heart and when you actually "miss that feeling" - IMHO you are a true badass. Doesn't matter the age either, it NEVER leaves you. I just turned 53 and it hasn't left me and I'm no one special. Once a "real" fighter. ALWAYS a fighter. Cold. Hard. Fact.👊

I always wish Nate would improve his kicking game. Just some solid heavy kicks combined with his striking and he will beat almost everyone in the top 10. he barely kicks and barely checks kicks. Diaz brothers have insane cardio though and Nate ate some heavy leg kicks in his early career and walked through them.

So many likable fighters on one card. Makes it bitter sweet because I don't like see any of them lose. Aside from that, this is an excellent card!

Nate vs Anthony and Yoel vs Costa fights should be 5 rounds, I believe exciting fights should be 5 rounds

You mean fights with big names.....bc any fight has the potential to be an exciting fight. But nah if all big name fight were 5 rounds then championship fights and main events lose a bit of their allure in my opinion.

Man I love Daniel Cormier. Such a selfless guy at the end of the day and never knew about his daughter that passed away
