It's not about the action it's about the timing. The fighters fight and then they go home. If one person has COVID and spreads it before the fight by shaking hands or not being masked, it can spread throughout the whole hotel. COVID tests do have false negatives, so it's just being extra safe.

@David -01 It's not stupid. Other people are not tested negative, so it's a necessary precaution to make sure they don't catch anything from other people in that room.

I highly doubt they are testing all of those employees on a continous basis, the masks aren't there to protect them but the people around them. It would never get sanctioned for most of those options, but limiting the skill sets, purely for the spectacle, might add some benefit to the brand. For instance: Full MMA Combat, Striking Only, Boxing Only. It would make for some interesting trilogies. If they're in the business of making up nonsensical titles, then nothing should stand in the way of that.

I understand that this will never be possible due to health concerns, but I'm wondering what would happen if the fights was never stop by the bell or bad stoppage by the refs, and bad decisions by the judges, will the outcome of some fights remains the same?
