You don't need strength to K/O someone if they walk straight into a temple shot. Its the weakest part of the skull, where four skull bones fuse via sutures. Paulo has a monster chin, but no one has a temple that can withstand strikes. No matter how strong and tough you are your human anatomy will fail you.

Izzy kept hitting him and then moving away as he got close. Costa from the start tried to move but only ended up getting kicked and getting his legs damaged. And Costa attempts at getting close were met with kicks and moving back. Costa finally just rushed in at the end which resulted him getting knocked out.

Alex you’re a casual for sure. Costa didn’t close in. He closed in ONCE when Izzy missed a kick and then spun around. That’s the only time he stepped up in range to slug it out. And then when he had Izzy close to the fence he stayed back and didn’t pressure because Izzy feinted one punch while backed on the fence. That was definitely Costa’s fault mixed in with Izzy just being a higher iq fighter. Izzy moving around was smart and fair. Costa was relying on Izzy messing up, so why give into that and mess up?

Yeah, IDK why people say he has no KO power like look at his early 14 KO's in MMA (15 now), and like 11+ knockouts in kickboxing (his record isn't complete in Wikipedia). People have been doing that since he first showed up in the UFC. @Daevon Taking roids doesn't mean he didn't work hard or have talent, that's a common misconception. If every sprinter was 100% natural he would still be the fastest man in the world. If he didn't take steroids someone else would claim his PR because steroids just take you to the next level and sprinting is a sport where the milliseconds matter

This just tells you how good and tough is Kelvin Gastelum. Yes, he "lost" to Till; yes, he was outgrappled by way bigger grapplers like Weidman and Hermansson, but I still think that Kelvin is the only one that can beat Israel; Kelvin is the best boxer in the UFC, and Adesanya is the best kickboxer in the UFC. By the way, about Israel's antics after the fight, Costa talked a lot of crap about Izzy, so fair play.

He did try to do leg kicks yet Izzy just caught a lot of them, he tried cutting the ring which didn't work due to Izzy being too quick, and when he closed in or engaged he just ends up eating some good combos by Izzy. Think a rematch could happen in a few years after Paulo learns from the loss then starts getting more wins and if Izzy is still holding the belt then.. yeah. Though it's kind of funny that Costa was saying Izzy is afraid to fight bigger guys and has no knockout power yet just gets TKO'd by Izzy.
