@wergar_the_warwolf68343 жыл бұрын
I don't think Izzy would win a rematch tbh. Jan had his number and Izzy winning would require for him to change his style drastically. Jan outstruck him early with the jab and Jan's defense was impeccbale(whenever he bit on feints he bit backward, and he checked every leg kick and parried a bunch of punches). Jan's power didn't really play a role and I think even if they were the same weight Jan would have won. Keep in mind Jan fatigued earlier due to his greater size and then incorporated grappling in the later rounds(right after the one round Izzy won, Jan's output slowed considerably in the 3rd)

Jan fought a fantastic fight, full credit to him, he’s a beast. But lets not forget, Jan beat the shit out of Reyes (who arguably beat JBJ), and broke Rockhold’s jaw. Izzy looks like he hasn’t been touched. It’s pretty impressive.

It's due to Jan gameplay. He wasn't headhunting Izzy with super hard punches like he usually does. Like even when he dodged Izzy headkick and Israel flipped he wasn't going full berserker mode on him. Jan fight IQ was very good

Jan knew Izzy was dangerous and despite throwing a bit too many hooks to the head knew he couldn't do to Izzy like he could to Rockhold or Reyes. I think Izzy may also have thick skin in that he doesn't get cut from blows easily. Then again Jan wasn't able to land his hardest strikes cleanly because of how elusive Izzy was.

@@jaydagoat9522 tbh I do like izzy more now but that dry humping of a downed opponent was a bit much. I get it and kids think it's funny but Jan could have done the same to him. I like some heated arguments but after the fight it should always be respect
