And despite being a fan of the guy and being inspired by his journey, I just don't see his ex coach as someone saying bullshit for free publicity. He's very nice with kids. A bit less with people. Especially the ones that actually put him where he is now.

It’s not uncommon for fighters get their nails painted before a fight because they will have a lower chance of cracking/breaking when throwing kicks/punches. Yoel Romero used to paint his black for example.

@@kursor52 Just development of things over time. It's not dumb or anything its just an efficient way of speaking when you think about it. Just doesn't sound correct to people who don't hear it often. Californians for example get roasted for using "like" too much. The most popular example of this probably in pop culture movies is the cajun from the water boy. The guy who basically mumbles and laughs. People actually speak like that in the deep Bayou areas and its absolutely astounding. Look how different we are from British English already in just a few hundred years. It's just harder for people to realize regions develop just the same as countries do because it happens on a much smaller scale usually under the radar until its vastly different.
