@@sharrey96 Leading up to the fight Stipe didn't get any respect whatsoever despite being the HW champ and Dana promoted Ngannou eay more than Stipe. Overall he got disrespected so he rather had his own coach put the belt round his waist and that was an awesome moment.

I feel that prime DC (31-32 years old), would dominate the HW division. Stipe would give a hell of a fight, of course. But DC was just another level of energy, power, athleticism and versatility.

And while we haven’t seen him on the ground we’ve seen amazing takedown defence against Cain and Curtis, people with much better takedowns than Stipe. Francis was shell shocked in the fight with Derek, I’m afraid for Derek if they fight again. Derek has lost some weight and can move faster but the not fast enough for Francis’s punches. It’s Stipe’s quick movements and chin that didn’t fold him after getting clipped by Francis.

Heavyweight fights are generally about who fights better when they are afraid.... Stipe pulls it off all the time because when the chips are down he is more calculated, other people tend to crumble a bit when the fear gets the best of them.

Maybe bums is too strong a word, but fighters like JDS, Overeem (who was way past his prime at almost 40), are not the quality of opposition that Stipe needs to cement is legacy. Rught now he looks like a paper champion... it's not his fault that he cant find credible opposition.
